Very good experience
Very good experience, the toilets were delivered on time and picked up as promised with no delays. We went for luxury toilets which were in a great condition. Many thanks and highly recommend the company

Poor service, no communication, and dismissive customer care
We hired two portable toilets from Local Toilet Hire to be delivered on a Thursday and collected the following Monday. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional.
On Thursday morning, I emailed to request a delivery time and was told the slot would be 11am–1pm. I asked if a later time was possible, but was told they were too busy. Despite this, 1pm came and went with no update. I had to chase for information myself. After calling, I was told someone would get back to me — they didn’t call but emailed instead, changing the delivery window to 3–4pm without any notice. The toilets finally arrived at 3pm, two hours late.
Then came the collection issue. I emailed Monday morning to confirm when they’d be collected and was told they would be pumped and locked on Tuesday, and collected Wednesday. Fair enough. But by Tuesday, I had no update, and the landowner (who kindly allowed us to place the toilets on his land) asked for a time. I emailed again with no response, then had to email once more to say he would be calling them himself.
When he called, he was suddenly told nothing would be done until Friday — something nobody had communicated to us at all until that moment. This left him with toilets sitting on the edge of his land in warm weather, taking up space and causing unnecessary disruption.
The worst part? When I raised this in a complaint, the response I got was dismissive, poorly written, and unhelpful — no apology, no accountability, and no effort to put things right. Just a blanket refusal to take responsibility, despite the delays and lack of communication being entirely on their side.
I won’t be using Local Toilet Hire again and can’t recommend them to others. If your event or site depends on reliable, professional service — look elsewhere.

Thank you for taking time to review our company. I am sorry that you feel we delivered a poor service, with limited communication, and dismissive customer care. In our event season we can agree a delivery date but regrettably we are not able to guarantee a particular delivery time slot. We did try and be helpful and give you an expected time for delivery but unfortunately this changed during the day. As detailed in my emails, we are not always able to guarantee collection dates, but we do our best to collect as soon as possible within the week after your event. During our busy events season, collections can take up to 5 working days. We are very clear and upfront with our terms and conditions which we ensure are sent to all our booking customers. Your toilet was collected within the 5 day window. I am sorry you feel your experience with us was lacking, but we take your comments on board to help improve our customer service.
Problem Free Hire Company
Second time I have used this company, so that is a strong indicator of how good I value their service. Very good customer service, delivery and collection with competitive pricing. Will use again.
