Everything was easy

Everything was easy, from building out the system, quick delivery, simple install. This is my 2nd home with their security system.
I have all my home functions tied together, alarm, fire, heat/ac and video doorbell.

Who Knew Home Security Could Be So Complicated???

If you've been shopping for home security systems, especially in the day and age of home automation, then you understand that the education process can be challenging. Not to mention the vast number of companies competing for your business.

As a consumer, I always try do my homework, especially for larger purchases and those that become a part of my daily routines. I learned quickly that my choice of a home security provider/interface was not something I was going to make quickly. Ultimately, I spent about 6 - 8 weeks mulling it over.

I requested information from companies I chose on alarm.com, which serves as the online/app based interface for many systems. And, as expected, I was contacted by every company I had shown interest in.

Lee at Link Interactive was among the first people I spoke with. And I had about 50 questions for him ranging from hardware, to functionality, to cost (both upfront and recurring), to home automation. He spent nearly an hour on the phone with me, which I certainly appreciated.

What I appreciated more was that when I told Lee that I was going to continue to do my homework and likely would not make a decision for a couple of months, he agreed that was a smart approach. He told me if I had questions as I moved forward, that he was more than willing to help. It was clear he stood by his companies product, as he encouraged me to do my research.

Now, this is in contrast to many of the other companies I interacted with. They ranged from mildly annoying all the way to overwhelming. That said, I actually thought I had decided AGAINST Link Interactive in favor of a company with a "local" presence -- until I found out that the costs were not as straight forward as I had anticipated as it relates to initial hardware and monthly monitoring....

So, I decided I'd check back in with Lee at Link Interactive after reviewing their offerings once more. Lee was more than willing to help, and he did for the final couple of weeks before I made my decision. I am fairly certain that he got me the best deal that he could.

My upfront costs were among the lowest, if not the lowest of all of the companies I researched. And the monthly rate was very competitive. Sure, I had to sign a 3-year agreement, but I just bought a home (I'm not going anywhere), and I've got the very reasonable rate locked in for that period of time.

Link Interactive will provide for me the basic functionality I sought in the near term, coupled with the ability to add to my system in an a la carte fashion to incorporate home automation, video monitoring or perhaps something that isn't even yet available.

If your shopping for a home security system, I strongly recommend taking a look at what Link Interactive has to offer. Ultimately I determined, with the help of one of their very professional representatives, that Link Interactive was the best choice for me when considering all of my home security needs.

so I made an unfavorable review about how long it took to set up account. Link Interactive replies that the problem was a hold on my account. Making it seem like the problem was related to me. When I called the did not indicate a hold on my account. They just said that it was taking longer to process. Buyer beware of a security company that is unable to take responsibility for their own missteps. I now have zero trust in this company and want to make sure other know that hey do not tell the truth. Trust is all important to me as it relates to the company I trust with my home security.

Hi MIchael. I looked into this a bit further and here is what I found. When your order was received there was a question on where to ship your system because your installation address didn't match the billing address. Our shipping department sent a request to the salesperson to clarify and the salesperson never responded. This is why there was a hold. We didn't want to ship the system to the wrong address since both addresses are in different states. This was a complete communication fail on our part. We have addressed it internally to the salesperson because it was his fault for not responding to the question from the shipping department. Our shipping department should have reached out to you which was another mistake on our part. We were not trying to hide the truth on it we were trying to get the whole story. Again we apologize that we made a mistake. We wish you all the best.

Unable to follow thru on execution

Unable to follow thru on execution. Ordered over the weekend now almost Thursday unable to get an account set up and equipment mailed. Sure hope they are better at monitoring and dispatching help.

I called for estimate on security …

I called for estimate on security system. Once they checked my credit and it was not good mood changed immediately. Mitch the salesman was really quick to get off the phone. Even though I was prepared to pre pay the 3 year agreement. There loss I paid up on another company. Rude service

Quick response with very helpful instructions to reset my radio modem to get signal again from the cellular provider. Also, very proactive to suggest that I can try Verizon due to low signal quality for ATT

Scammers trying to manipulate you into useless equipment and a three year contract

Hi I worked with somebody over the phone and they didn’t tell me that the alarm system was depending on my Internet they didn’t tell me that they sign three-year contracts and they pressured me into signing what I thought was a month-to-month agreement not only that but I never installed my equipment and the activated billing for me and I never use the equipment equipment been returned to the company and they’ve tried to collect money for service that they never provided if you were considering using this company I would suggest you look elsewhere because it’s a scam and they high-pressure you in to getting their equipment to try to get payment out of you for three years and then I’ll say that you got a contract

Berenice G and Ryan H at Link Interactive have provided the best customer service of any company I have worked with. I know this may seem like a canned response from a relative or friend; it is not. I've never met them before. I had a few bugs to work out of my IQ2 system and they have been very prompt, knowledgable, helpful, and friendly.

Mostly excellent service

We are new Link Interactive customers and I have called them several times with fantastic results. My rating of four stars is for this interaction is because we originally received one bad sensor, which was supposed to be sent to us. It was not sent until I called back a week later. The support person I talked to just forgot (I presume) to put the order in. It might not have been too bad except that we were going out of town. So we left our house with our alarm on, but with one sensor that was not working. However, after the second call, they responded immediately and sent the item to the address where we were visiting and via 2-day service, so that response was excellent.

Ennikah was very patient and …

Ennikah was very patient and knowledgeable, and so we solved issues as far as Link had prepared for such.
I wish that Link would permit more local control through the customer, and not make it so nightmarishly complicated to change settings, either at the local control station or in the app, that pop up for needed attention.
I would also like to suggest to create a system that indicates battery-charge level in the batteries of the sensors. It is hard to figure out how long the batteries in the various sensors will last.

I am appalled that Link interractive …

I am appalled that Link interractive would keep charging me any amount
after I explained that my handicapped daughter's condition has worsened and she can't get to the alarm quick enough when it is armed.

Unfortunately, I didn't read my contract well enough and didn't know that I had to keep paying for an alarm I am not using.

I will send an review of my experience to yelp to warn prospective buyers that they need to think twice before buying an alarm with no heart!!!

Bernice at Link Interactive was …outstanding!

Bernice at Link Interactive was fantastic today. She walked me through a number of additions to my system, and helped troubleshoot a problem with a new detector I added last week. She determined that my panel needed two software upgrades and downloaded them to the system. She spent over an hour with me to perform all the additions and maintenance.
