Established in 1980, Linie Design is a Danish design house with roots in Scandinavian design. By combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics and uncompromising quality, the design house creates rugs designed to last. Today, Linie Design is one of the largest developers of handcrafted rugs in Europe, sold in over 70 countries, including in its own brand store in Copenhagen. All rugs are handmade in India by skilled weavers and are primarily crafted from natural materials such as wool, cotton, and linen. Each rug’s unique characteristics are defined by the specific weaving, tufting, or knotting technique. Depending on the complexity of the design, a weaver can spend weeks or even months finishing a single rug. Although Linie Design is deeply rooted in tradition, it is innovation that drives the company forward. By continuously exploring new patterns, materials, and techniques, Linie Design pushes creative boundaries in the development of modern rug design. Today, the design team is led by Head of Design, Urd Moll Gundermann. Since 2008, Linie Design has been a proud member of Care & Fair, supporting education and development programmes for weaving communities in India. Through its own school, Linie Design fully covers the cost of education for over 340 children. The company’s code of conduct reflects its commitment for social responsibility, the environment, and ethical leadership.

Sämsta mattan någonsin

Sämsta mattan någonsin. Alla möbler ger märken som inte går bort. Man kan inte ta bort fläckar för då blir de bara större. Även om man bara tar vatten. Fläcken blir helt missfärgad. Sååå känslig matta.

Tak for din anmeldelse, som vi selvfølgelige er kede af at høre om, Vi er dog meget forundret over denne anmeldelse, da vi ikke har kendskab til din oplevelse og ej heller er blevet kontaktet af dig eller en forhandler omkring dette.

Beautiful rugs, but disappointed with durability and ease of maintenance

EDIT: We have received a reimbursement from Linie Design, and though our particular label does not prohibit spot cleaning, we've been advised not to try cleaning the rug at all with any consumer products to ensure the colors won't spread. So be careful and contact Linie Design when in doubt.

We have purchased two identical Linie Design wool rugs from Vepsäläinen in Finland. They are beautiful rugs, but unfortunately they are not made to last, as the colors are not sealed in the wool yarn, as should be in any good quality wool rug. The first rug was discoloured from natural white to a pinkish hue when cleaned professionally. The second one was discoloured when cleaning a spot with a product made for cleaning stains on wool rugs, as the color from the black yarn spread in the whites.

TLDR; Linie cuts corners by not sealing colors in the wool, and thus their rugs won't stand normal use for more than a couple of years.

Thank you for your message and for sharing your experience with the rugs purchased from us.
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced discoloration after cleaning. Our rugs are crafted with great care and made from natural materials, but colorfastness can be affected by the method and products used for cleaning.
We would like to take the rugs back for inspection, as it appears that the cleaning may not have been carried out correctly. This will allow us to assess the issue more closely and determine an appropriate solution.
Please contact our customer service at info@liniedesign.dk regarding where to pick up the carpets.
We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

We’re very happy that we’ve found a solution to this problem together.

As we informed in our resent correspondence, the chemistry used for spot cleaning this rug is not recommended by Linie Design.
Linie Design do only recommend that our rugs are washed flat by a professional.
This is stated on all our labels, and we must emphasize that any other cleaning method will void the claim.

As agreed, we have ex. gratia offered you a new carpet at a greatly reduced price and we sincerely hope you will be happy with this.

Fantastisk oplevelse ved køb af tæppe :)
Lige fra et super flot produkt til levering ved døren, flot indpakket og retur materiale vedlagt ( retur mart. som IKKE blev brugt, da vi selvfølgelig beholdte dette smukke produkt).
Vi er SÅ tilfredse.
