I’ve used Lightwave over the past 5…

I’ve used Lightwave over the past 5 years on 3 different renovations. Recently I’ve had a few light switches fail.

Called lightwave expecting a resolution instead I was told products were out of their 24 month warranty period and they could only offer 20% discount on replacement products. They didn’t even ask for the faulty products to be returned so they could investigate, which I found strange.

You’d think at over £100 for a switch they’d have a better warranty. You don’t expect to be replacing these devices after 24 months especially after spending thousands fitting out a house.

Won’t be using again.

Jack has since spoken with you to better understand the circumstances surrounding the two dimmers. We appreciate you taking the time to discuss the installation with us, and we're currently waiting for confirmation of the lighting connected to the affected circuits so we can continue investigating.

We completely understand your frustration. However, it is very uncommon for our dimmers to fail prematurely, which is why we're keen to identify the root cause before reaching any conclusions. From our conversation, you mentioned one of the affected circuits may be controlling a bathroom LED fitting, and we're simply waiting to confirm the specification so we can establish whether there is anything that may have contributed to the issue.

It's also worth noting that you've had a large number of Lightwave dimmers installed across three renovation projects over the past five years, and these are the only two that have experienced a problem. That in itself gives us confidence that there may be an underlying cause specific to these circuits, rather than a wider product issue.

Our aim is to identify exactly what has happened so that we can provide the most appropriate resolution. Once our investigation is complete, we're confident we can work together to find a fair outcome.

We genuinely appreciate your custom over the past five years and hope to continue supporting you for many more.

Lightwave rf customer service second to none

I have used Lightwave rf products at my last 3 houses and am impressed with how easy to use and functional they are. On the rare occasion I have had an issue Lightwave staff have always gone the extra mile and helped me fix the issue. Can’t say fairer than that

First class technical support

Jack was just fantastic, spent an hour or so resolving some issues we were having with new 2 gang dimmable light switches that needed pairing too. He was determined to find an answer to the problems we were experiencing and after a lot of trying things he finally got everything working. The two electricians that were here were a bit bowled over that he could do all this remotely!

Excellent experience of working with Lightwave

I am working with Lightwave on a full lighting system for my home. The team at Lightwave provided an online consultancy (video meeting) and then assigned a contact person for me and my local electrician to work with - through a few iterations of the lighting design, we came to a good solution that I ordered. The delivery of the parts was within a day or so and correct to the Bill of Materials. I have now been assigned an after sales support person and will contact them, or the support desk, once the installation and commissioning work starts. So far, the level of customer service and provided solution guidance from Lightwave has been excellent.

UK-Based, Human Technical Support in 2026

Have been a Lightwave customer since about 2021 and have needed to contact support on exactly 3 occasions. On each occasion I was connected quickly with somebody in their Technical Support team who quite clearly wasn't just "reading a script". They were actively engaged with helping me resolve my problem. Whilst most of my devices are well outside of their warranty period, this wasn't even a point of discussion with Tech Support. Also worth mentioning the complete lack of modern dark-patterns, like forced RMA's, premium support paywalls, or linguistic traps on technicalities.

Lightwave devices command a premium in a market that has seemingly already raced to the bottom, but if they continue to invest in their customer experience then I will continue happily paying that premium.

A novel experience

Arranging a call to ensure that I am obtaining full benefit from their technology and its many, many features was… unexpected, novel and very happily received. Great support

A friend had played with one of our switches. It stopped working as it should. I called Lightwave Support. Dylan checked and explained that my friend had managed to carry out a factory reset on the switch. I received help getting the switch reconnected to my Lightwave system and also had a firmware update pushed to my switches to make these unexpected resets not happen again. Very helpful support from Dylan at Lightwave. Thank you!

Great customer service

We have recently bought a house which has many lightwave devices installed, few of them operating correctly. I called the technical helpline and was very impressed with the level of help I received. In particular Eve was enormously patient and helpful. Great customer servce.
