If I could give no stars I would. Avoid this company at all cost. They pushed their arrival back 3 times after I’d chased up multiple times and they never arrived. After waiting 3 hours they cancelled on me on the day of my move. Still yet to receive my deposit back.

Instant regrets booking this company. Firstly, the movers arrived to our house late, walked in and didn’t bother to greet us. This was only the tip of the iceberg. They refused to bring items, even though we had checked in advance, forcing us to leave them at our old house.

The drivers had a 5-minute drive to our new house (they arrived 30 minutes after they left). Upon arrival I was questioned as to who was going to be paying for the delivery and I stated my partner. I was looked up and down and questioned as to my partner. He then continued to talk to the other worker – then acted homophobic toward me. I felt extremely uncomfortable, so much so that I called the company and questioned as to if they were able to send out another person. I also advised construction workers to please keep an eye out as I felt uncomfortable.

When speaking with the person over the phone – I asked if they could not contact their worker as it would make the situation more awkward, they assured me they wouldn’t. They obviously did as, I was aggressively met with “did you call our boss”. To which, I just stated let’s move the furniture. It got to a point where I was more uncomfortable so called the police.

The company refused to release our remaining furniture until payment was made. They asked us to pay for 4 hours – they had only been there three, only due to their slow nature, the fact they sat at the top of the street for 40 minutes. They only released furniture due to the police arriving.

Not to mention – Our furniture was damaged, broken and now stained.

Absolutely horrible company to deal with, truly horrible experience, which to this date they have taken no responsibility for.

we recently used Lift and Shift movers after reading positive reviews. this was not our experience in the slightest. I called before booking and discussed what items we had where we were moving to, the person I spoke to confirmed they could move our items. on the day, the truck arrived 30 mins late, they walked straight into our house without saying hello and proceeded to ask what brands our furniture was. We had sold most of our furniture and only needed 2 bedrooms moved and 2 couches. they started moving items out at a snails pace. they refused to move a tallboy because "it weighed 200kgs". this tallboy was max 25kg. I pointed at 2 plants thay were 1 meter high and they refused to move them. this was discussed prior to booking. once the truck was packed they drove to the other house, 3kms away. this took 30mins, no idea why. my wife was greeted by a man demanding money. we then received a bills for 4.5hours. this was a huge overcharge. they then started to get aggressive and homophobic slurs were coming our way. they refused to unload the truck and said they would take our furniture until we paid. we had to have the police remove them from our house. we have been left with paying an overcharged invoice, broken and marked furniture, very dirty couches and mattresses and damage to our floorboards from the furniture being dragged. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! avoid at all cost. do not trust the reviews

Akashdeep was absolutely fabulous, he and his colleague arrived promptly and did a fantastic job moving a marble slab. Totally recommend, friendly and professional - a great job, 100% recommend this company

Agree with other reviews that wouldnt recommend them at all cost!
- they hold items until the payment is done.
- work extremely slowly, on the phone, taking brakes.
- lying the time they artived to the original place.
- it took 1.5hr to load and 3 hr to unload which doesnt makes sence.
- extra charges for driveway.
- rude attitude.
- dont care about the belongings everything sits on the floors on their truck.

From the day before, they tried to change my booked time more than once but on the actual day were more than 4 hours late. Given, the weather was horrible plus they had problems with their truck battery (which in itself is not the sign of a reliable service) the whole day was nothing short of a disaster. Our mattresses were dirty from being dragged on the wet, dirty truck floor, our daughter’s expensive mirrored tall boy was damaged (mirror cracked and broken off the legs), 2 feet broke off the microwave and no responsibility was taken. I called the day after hoping they would acknowledge some fault or at least apologise but nothing of the sort. This review isn’t a deliberate attempt to discourage business, just an actual account of what happened on my moving day

Lift and Shift movers were efficient and polite and I would recommend them.

I had my job done yesterday and it was a great experience to get my job done from lift and shift movers. The movers were very nice and friendly. I am satisfied with the job and highly recommend it to everyone.
