We have just used Lester Aldridge for our second house sale and purchase, once again they have been faultless. Shelley has been excellent and despite us having two sales fall through (no fault of theirs) she has ensured everything has run smoothly/in a timely manner. We are now very happily in our new home.

Shelley and her team have been very responsive throughout. On occasion dealing with very urgent matters when time has been pressured.

We recommend Shelley to all our friends when they are looking to move and will continue to do this in the future.

LA were appointed Deputies for my neighbour following consultation with BCP Council Social Services. i was really please that someone was now in a position to make decisions on her behalf and immediately contacted them advising that there were some valuables in the house which i thought should be removed to a place of safe keeping. I offered to help them as I was more familiar with this lady than anyone as I had been a friend to her and her husband for 30 years. She has no one else.
I received an acknowledgement of my offer but no request to assist to remove the jewellery.
This started in August 2023 and I continued to provide support to my neighbour until LA changed the key code in December and said I was not an 'authorised person' and could no longer have access unsupervised. They have never given a reason for that decision despite the client having trusted me completely when she did have mental capacity.
The discussions continued and in May 2024 their representative told me the Jewellery had been removed.
I thought this odd and by now was not convinced of their attention to this lady. I therefore sent them a picture of the jewellery to ensure they were talking about the same items, as they had not asked me where they were. Whilst they were concealed they wold not have been much of a challenge to someone of ill intent.
In August the police were called to the house for an unrelated issue. They contacted me and I in their presence I checked to see if the items had actually gone as I had been told.
Whilst I did not undertake a thorough examination I could see that at least most of the items were still there.
After further badgering from me LA agreed to meet on site in September and remove the items. On closer examination it was apparent that at least 2 rings were no longer there.
I reported the loss to the police but the timeline for the disappearance was such that there was little chance of solving this issue. It was now 2 years since I had taken the photos of the items. I gave LA the crime number asking them to check the property they removed against my original photo and advise the police of any other issues. They failed to do so.
It its possible that the items were gone before they became 'Deputies' but.... had they responded in August 2023 and not prevaricated until September 2024 there would have been a much clearer picture of the loss.
They will not communicate with me " as they will have to charged my neighbour for their time". Unfortunately, the incident has cost the neighbour the value of the jewellery which I understand to be in excess of £10,000.
They put in correspondence that they could not share her financial information with me. I have never sought information about that only ever offered to give any information I may have acquired over 30 years of friendship.
There are other issues which are too lengthy to include here but I will not be recommending them to anyone I know seeking assistance.
The neighbour has advanced dementia and does not have the mental capacity to make any complaint herself.

Lester Aldridge has been amazing.
But I need to give a big thank you to Karen Watts. My brother was involved in a serious road traffic accident leaving him with a brain injury and other serious injuries which changed his life.
It's been a hard and emotional time but Karen has been an absolute god send through the whole case.
