As soon as I walked into Leighton’s I felt welcomed. Elenor completed my wax removal and hearing test and was very personable with me all the way through talking about next steps I should take and anything that would help me in the future. I will be returning.

Highly recommend using this company. I used the repair service which is so hard to find on the high street these days especially if you didn’t buy the glasses from their shop! Great service, repaired really quickly and I was impressed by the staff. Very warm welcoming service. This will now be my go to opticians.

First time customer in need of help and the team here certainly delivered. Elenor was personable humorous making me feel comfortable for the beginning. Everything was explained clearly and she got down to business. I had a serious ear blockage and through perseverance and support I walked away normal again. Very professional with that personal touch. Anebela helped get me over the line and free of my hearing issues! A new customer here!

Elenor was very professional with all the required clarifications before even peering into my ears. The wax situation was clear and Elenor removed the debris with good humour and showed me the pictures before and after to show the evidence of a job well done.

Genuinely not a sour taste ! Eleanor in Reading was very thorough in her examination and gentle during the appointment also offering money saving advice. The Receptionist was equally personable, welcoming and friendly. Came away with a family run business feel rather than a high street sales experience. Well done and thank you. I had an appointment with Kashish Kumar in the Reading branch. He was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and reassuring. I'm not a fan of eye tests but Kashish made the experience positive and I left feeling very happy and assured. Thank you Kashish and staff at the branch.

Audiologist not recommended

I was waiting out front. The Audiologist (Anabel Valente) came to the desk to see her appointments and I heard her say "What are they doing sat there?" (I was told to sit there)

The Audiologist came over, spoke a few words, then turned her back expecting me to follow. I was taken to the room (8 minutes late).

She did not look at me, spoke few words and was extremely 'frosty' and unfriendly.

She was mostly silent, only kept huffing/sighing like I was an inconvenience. So incredibly disrespectful. She hardly spoke. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.

There wasn't a huge queue, because she was running late. So I have no idea why she was so annoyed with me just because I wasn't sat right by her door (Shame as the rest of the staff are amazing and I love chatting to them)

During the hearing test it was difficult to hear the beeps at times due to the Audiologist's breathing with the face mask on, sounds in the shop and noises right outside the door.

The rudest, most horrible customer experience I have ever had. It has completely soured my day. I hope I don't pass her disgruntledness on to anyone else.

Very friendly team, would definitely recommend.
