I have had eye care with Heena, before and after cataract operations. She is extremely competent and knowledgeable and has gone out of her way to deal with all my problems in a friendly and helpful manner. Becky, dealing with odd requirements for glasses, has been thoughtful and resourceful. Anita has been patient and supportive with my hearing needs. And reception has been friendly and ready to help. FIVE STARS to all the staff in Lewes!

I rarely write reviews! However, great service should be highlighted, especially when it happens at every visit from every member of staff at the Lewes branch. In particular Heena Bharadia deserves a special mention. As she takes the time to fully explain every aspect of my examination and what I need to do to achieve the best possible vision, and I never feel that I am being rushed, even when I am sure that I have exceeded the normal appointment time. I also rarely give recommendations, but I would happily recommend Leightons in Lewes to anyone. Thanks again for your excellent service, from Richard Collyer.

Excellent service. Anita, the audiologist was very thorough and informative in a professional way and friendly at the same time. She made me feel very comfortable.

I have been a client at Spectrum Eyecare in Lewes since they opened over 25 years ago. They have always been noted for their excellent customer service and expertise and I am pleased to report that based on my recent experience this has continued under their new (6 years) ownership by Leighton’s.

Louise at Leightons in Lewes was absolutely super with an elderly relative who was extremely anxious about the visit (being almost deaf in one ear). We made a spontaneous appointment and came away with much more confidence. Her hearing was greatly enhanced (with exactly the right aid, tried out during an hour of undivided attention) and Louise even organised for the aid to be fitted "back home", in a totally different part of the UK! Really impressive, well co-ordinated follow-up care. She also had a lovely manner and is clearly an expert in her field. Thank you so much.

Professional service. Everything well explained. No waiting, I was seen immediately I arrived.

Whilst on holiday in Lewes, my glasses broke; an emergency which threatened to ruin my holiday. However we phoned Spectrum Eyecare & Hearing Centre, Lewes and the young lady who answered the phone was very sympathetic and helpful and arranged an appointment for later the same day.

On arrival I was made to feel welcome by the staff and I was seen by the Optician, Kate Lambert. She quickly diagnosed the problem and suggested a solution. The necessary repair took no more than a quarter of an hour. My glasses are now as good as new and my holiday was saved.

I am most grateful to Kate and the staff for their sympathetic and professional resolution of my emergency.

Sophie in the Lewes branch of Leightons is the most helpful member of staff in a shop I have ever met. She went out of her way to attend to my request, and nothing was too much trouble for her.

The person who dealt with me was very thorough and only charged me half because I had one bad ear for cleaning

I always have a great experience at my yearly eye checks here. The receptionist Sophie is really warm and welcoming. Heena is such a fantastic, empathetic and caring optometrist who makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She explains all of the tests very clearly and gives you time to think through the results and checks you understand everything. It is great to feel so respected and valued there.

I went for a wax removal treatment. The lady who saw me was very gentle and patient. She really went the extra mile to deliver the service, even giving me a quick hearing test at the end as I was concerned about hearing. It was the best £100 I've ever spent and would not hesitate to recommend to others! Thank you so much

I recently had an eye test and subsequently spoke to Becky the ophthalmologist regarding replacing lenses in my glasses and having some fitted in a spare pair. The optician I saw was very informative and thorough and as always with Leightons I felt listened to and carefully advised. Likewise with Becky. The staff at Leightons in Lewes are always friendly and accessible and very professional. I am very satisfied with the level of service and advice they provide and I'm very glad I returned to using your company after a period elsewhere. Having struggled with deteriorating eyesight due to cataracts (thankfully now resolved with surgery) the support and advice I received during this period and subsequently has been excellent. Thankyou to all.

I decided to change from Boots to Leightons because of Covid and my local Leightons branch was much easier to get to. I am so pleased that i did. No disrespect to Boots ( I found them really good) but in my recent experience of Leightons optician and hearing care, the tests and after care were so much more in-depth and the practitioners explained everything so well. Every member of staff in the Lewes branch was friendly, helpful and professional. I was very reassured by the optician and today i saw Anita for a hearing test. I was amazed at how in-depth her history taking was and her calm kind manner. I think it was Oliver who sorted out some glasses for me, no hard sell just good advice. I also managed to get my husband to attend for his first eye test and he is really impressed too. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful. We were also really pleased at the precautions that the staff are making to keep the practice as covid secure as possible. 10/10

I was a Spectrum Eyecare customer for many years. When Leightons took over I thought the care and attention to detail would evaporate. Leightons still offer the best of care!

Good service when I called in to the Lewes branch to top up my glasses cleaner. Staff were friendly and complying with the Covid restrictions which made me feel safe.

Good health and safety. Good explanations of the testing procedures. Very good and helpful staff.

I had appointment for eye test which went very well, I did need new prescription so discussed requirements with staff, arranged for new lenses into existing frame, so had call when they had arrived left my frame with them to get new ones fitted, with new prescription did feel a little strange for couple of days
