He became the first ever nail expert to be awarded an MBE from the Queen for his services to the nail and beauty industry in 2015, was awarded the rare honorary PHAB Standard Accolade, which recognises a qualified level of excellence in the Performance of Hair and Beauty and has amassed over 70 industry awards including being awarded British Nail Technician of the Year 4 times in a row and the first manicurist to be voted into the British Beauty Hall of Fame. Leighton's first book, How I Nailed It, became the number one best-selling autobiography in the Beauty & Fashion section of Amazon just twenty-four hours after its release. Leighton is currently an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association and has previously been a proud supporter and ambassador for charities St. Oswald’s Hospice, Jeans for Genes and Breast Cancer Care, raising awareness and funds through initiatives with his product ranges. While Leighton has achieved so much in such a short amount of time - including over 15 awards for his iconic Crystal Nail File - he is not stopping anytime soon! In 2021 Leighton was awarded two Beauty Bible Awards for his Undercover Base Coat and 75% Plant-Based Nail Polish, his Renovate Treatment won best nail cream in the Good Housekeeping Institute Awards and he has recently been awarded a Cosmopolitan Beauty Award for the 'Best Woody Fragrance of 2022' with his Encourage EDP.
