I recently ordered online and received an item with a clear manufacturing paint defect on the front. For a premium brand, the quality control is surprisingly poor.

If you want a Le Creuset, buy it in person at a boutique so you can inspect the piece yourself. Ordering online is a gamble; if you receive a defective unit, their support makes it very difficult to get a replacement online. This is especially frustrating if you are buying a gift.

Ordered and paid for express shipping, items stayed in 'ordered' status a couple of days then moved to 'shipping label printed', still hasn't been sent, will request cancellation and refund, most likely have to go through Visa as their customer service is horrendously bad, Do not buy from Le Creuset!!!

Finally ordered the expensive set LeCrueset, It was a purchase for me, but thought spend the money they have a lifetime guarantee
Six months after using one pretty much every day The coating came off and then very soon after two other pots did the same thing. I contacted them in regards to their lifetime warranty only to be sadly told that it’s only a manufacturers warranty not. I’ve sent $2000 for six months wear and tear…. Go scanpan instead, much better!

We were gifted a beautiful set of Le Creuset for our engagement in 2004. It has been used and loved ever since and belongs to big collection of Le Creuset kitchenware.
Unfortunately the enamel on the roasting dish cracked and chipped after roasting pork at 200 degrees. Referring to the original instructions which clearly state "Lifetime Warranty" we took the dish to Le Creuset in Chadstone to see if the "Lifetime Warranty' would be honoured.
We were initially told the dish was too old to be covered under the lifetime warranty which came in, in the early 2000s. When we refuted this point and said we could produce the original instructions, we were told our set would have been purchased from a department store, without instruction on how to cook, we wouldn't have the original receipt and the dish had been used incorrectly, either on a cooktop on high heat or by pouring cold water on a hot dish.
The story was told to us and the salesperson was so condescending we could not get a word in when we tried to respond.
We were told we could leave the dish to be inspected by Le Creuset and in a show of good will Le Creuset would give a 40% on a new dish. My husband asked that if we opted to have the dish inspected, and the warranty was not honoured, if the dish would be returned and we were specifically told that we could keep our old baking dish and receive the 40% discount. We were told we could continue using the dish lined with baking paper. As the sales were on and all dishes were discounted by 30% at the time, it should be noted the 'goodwill' was only 10%.

We walked away knowing the dish was not going to be covered under warranty (the salesperson had been well trained to subjugate the customer and the lifetime warranty); happy we gave it a shot but very unhappy with how we were treated. As we knew the dish was not used incorrectly, we put it down to 20 years of good roasting and purchased a replacement dish and matching dutch oven from Aldi for $26.95 which happened to be the Special Buy that week.

Several weeks later we received a phone call saying that the dish was not covered under warranty as it was damaged due to incorrect use and we had the option to have the dish returned or a 40% discount, not both. So no warranty and no goodwill.

Our take, love your cookware but be wary of the "Lifetime Warranty"; I for one plan on living another 30 years. I'm not sure if its the condescending way we were treated by the salesperson or the double take on being able to keep the dish and receive a 40% 'goodwill' discount, however we have lost our faith in Le Creuset and it will take a lot for us to return. The Aldi cast iron baking dish and Dutch oven have been a welcome addition to our kitchen, have withstood searing at medium heat, and produced an excellent Sunday roast and gravy.

We had some serious issues with the supposed non stick frypan; which sticks every single time. Le Creuset refused to refund it because it was used: work that out; saying we had to pay to send it back and if they determined it was not faulty we had to also pay to ship it back. This could only be done to NSW. No local state agents. I have used these pots for decades; not ever again they have diversified outside their knowledge realm!

I ordered an Ovenware Large Tray and 3-ply Stainless Steel Rectangular Roaster while on sale as my previous tray and roaster had started to become damage. I am extremely happy with the quality of the items. My previous trays which were more basic had quite a bit of use and lasted a reasonable time. I anticipate these should last longer.
