Exactly What I Needed.
From the top: physically, an impressive item; the box and the contents both come poly wrapped, so pristine upon arrival. 53 cards in a solid box outer, printed full colour on heavy matt coated card stock with rounded corners - the product looks and feels *good*.
The content is clearly in the P** Decks space but is a. cheaper and b. just as good. This deck is focussed on Teams and their management, and offers How To cards for most everything, from the good times - delegation, empowerment, celebration - down to the less pleasant tasks such as underperformance, conflict, and toxicity.
Each card has a specific focus, and they're banded into sections - Foundation, Understand, Direction, Resources, Monitor, Performance, Communication and Theory, being 4-6 cards on each topic barring Theory which has 10. It's the headline topics for each element of management, and they act as a useful aide memoire when setting about a task.
Obviously, the deck is not the be all and end all - there's a reason there are books on management out there running to several hundred pages! But for headlines and concepts for further research as appropriate, this deck is spot on the money.
I'm taking it into work - I'm a Programme Manager at a major manufacturer (un-named because a. discretion and b. this is my drive, not theirs, and they have not formally approved their name being associated!), and it's going to serve well. This is going to set me above my peers.
The price is good - the physical product is great - and I recommend without hesitation.
