I ordered for the first time recently. These have smashed through my pest issue, still some stragglers so have placed a second order which was to be expected.

Delivery was clearly explained on the website as in there is a slight delay depending when you order. These are live creatures so it’s more than reasonable, even so delivery was quick and the sachets are really easy to use.

I have used Ladybird Lawncare to treat my lawn for around 20 years. The staff are super friendly, polite and efficient. They treat my lawn with care avoiding planted areas. I have been delighted with their service and have recommended to my daughter who is also very pleased

Had infestation of gnats on my indoor plants heading into winter 2025 so tried nematodes (the £15 bundle) for the first time. I reapplied twice after the first amount to finish the whole bag of nematodes before the 1 month expiry. Happy to say that after 5-6 weeks since first application almost all gnats are gone. Bundle is handy with yellow sticky strips quite effective for catching adult flies. I will need to buy another batch, however, as I think I missed some plants which have since started to show signs of new hatching. Overall would recommend this treatment as environmentally safe and quite effective. Just be sure you treat enough and throughly on all plants and also use ASAP after delivery as the nematodes do expire.

(Feb 2026 update: just had to order a second pack 2 months later because of gnats starting to reappear - probably because I started the last treatment late & didn't cover all my indoor soil the first time. Make sure you're thorough!)

I’ve been buying biological controls from Ladybird Plant Care for several years now, and will continue to do so for many years to come. The products I’ve received have always been in excellent condition and very well packed. Customer service is also excellent, and on the occasion that I’ve had questions, they’ve been answered very quickly.

My review has been prompted by a negative experience with a different provider of predatory mites, which I used as I was keen to introduce mites of different origin, to increase the genetic diversity, in the hopes of establishing a more resilient breeding population of them on my plants. That negative experience made me realise just how great Ladybird are!

at my wits end, I found this company online and decided to give it a try (either that or throw out my houseplants!). I followed the instructions very carefully, and now I am gnat free! No more annoying wee black flies flying around. I have saved my aspidestra, (a cutting given to me when I left home for University 40 years ago) from a certain death, amongst other loved houseplants. Will definitely follow up with another treatment.

Second time ordering from here. First time was to get a minor thrip issue under control. Now I will be maintaining this by using these. I love seeing them patrol my plants and the thrips are under control now.
Arrived quickly and, when I asked a question after the first time I ordered, I received a prompt helpful reply

An email from the shop advised that it could take up to ten working days until the item was posted or would arrive the 'week commencing 6th Jan'. I was fine with this. 12 days later with no email or further information I emailed querying when it would be sent. The owner directed me to the original contradictory email. (The item arrived neither after 10 days nor in the week commencing 6th January, so the email was wrong anyway.) Owner was slightly rude in her response.

When the nematodes arrived the instructions were confusing. I found them badly composed. They contained non specific and odd statements like "put 0.5 liter of the solution in a 5L watering can and top up with water" and "apply to an eighth of the area to be treated". What?

I queried it & got the helpful response of to do it 'as per the instructions'. She was determined not to assist me in any way.

All I can say is I am unsurprised the shops rating is only 4.2 out of 5.

First time using the company, managed to easily buy a big box of 200 thrip predator sachets as a thrip infestation was decimating so my house plants (100+) in addition to some spider mites with have successfully killed my kentia palm.

The mites arrived promptly, well packaged and in good condition. 200 was too much so most plants have 2 sachets on, it says they can take up to a week to 'wake up' so I was initially dubious as to whether anything would happen. 6 days in, these things are awake and very active, quite hard to see as they are basically a tiny green pin prick! Within 2 days they have visibly slowed the growth of new trips as the adults die it. 5 more weeks of this and I'll be rid of thrips.

Really happy with the service and product so will definitely use again.

I was very nervous buying live little predators for the first time, with no previous experience with them or much information, I wanted them to survive and help my plants.

The owner, Tessa, has constantly replied to my emails that just contained questions, worries and pest problems, she has been very kind and informative.

Knowing my pest problems, she has even sent extra in my orders to help me defeat spider mites in my houseplant collection that I adore and devote a lot of time to.

The little helpers have always arrived live and healthy, delivery has always been sent out when it should, and these guys are saving my plants.

Review is a little long, but I just want to show my appreciation! Seeing my plants pest free again is bringing the joy back to the hobby for me🪴🫶🏼

I always buy nematodes from ladybirdplantcare. She keeps me informed about delays (because it’s a live product) and I honestly couldn’t fault the service I receive.

Poor company lack of decent customer service. Postage is not what is stated. Pay for first class apparently posted tuesday by friday no product and no refund. Use a proper company not this mickymouse one. This product was purchased on the 22nd 08 2024 as today 30th aug 2024 still no product. As said poor customer service lame .

I have been a customer for a while and was happy with my orders. The last order however was very under whelming. I spent just over £60 on thrip treatments, one product being £45. Not cheap. On this occasion there can't have been more than 20 insects in the bottle. There has supposed to be 500? I expressed my disappointment to the seller. I wasn't offered a solution, another bottle maybe? or a refund? I will buy my pest control from another company from now on. I'd like to think that if you are a regular buyer and might receive a bad batch here and there, that when that happens you're treated with respect and the problem is rectified.

Always had some much great advice and the product work brilliantly. Tessa is so patient with her answers and makes sure I have the right little beastie for the job.

Last summer my garden was full of beautiful plants that had failed in previous years because I managed to get on top of some of the pests that I hadn’t even realised had caused most of the problems before! Looking forward to spring kicking in this year!

I have ordered from this company multiple times now. The shipping is fast, efficient and the emails are very informative in terms of what to expect/timelines. The information leaflets attached to the product are very clear so that I knew exactly what to do. I have been delighted with the quality of the products and how they have helped to revive some of my (very sad looking) plants. Tessa is also wonderful and very efficient with responding to queries. I had quite a few very specific questions, but Tessa was happy to answer and guide me in a timely fashion - thank you.

Didn’t know what to expect as it was my first time using nematodes but results are great and I feel so much better knowing I am not adding chemicals to the ecosystem of my garden. Quick delivery and questions were answered promptly by the seller.

Only ordered nematodes for vine weevil on Sunday and by Tuesday morning they'd arrived. If they work as effectively and efficiently as the company I'll be very happy! I was just thrilled to realise they are a small British company too . Will definitely buy from you again should the need arise.
