I accidentally overpaid this credit card by $800, and I called to get a check sent to me for the overpayment. When Capitalone purchased this portfolio of Kohl's accounts, they did not transfer all the customer data, so they did not have my cell phone on file, which meant they couldn't send me a verification code for me to use during the customer service call. The supervisor then sent me a link to send a picture of the front and back of my driver's license. However, their system would not accept these pictures from my Google Pixel 9 phone. Because they system locked me out, I have to call again, get an email verification, send my driver's license via email, wait 10 days for them to look at it, and then they might send me back my overpayment. My only other option is to wait 4 statement cycles (4 months) for them to return my overpayment.

The people who run their website are hopelessly stupid. So, they fumbled around for what 2 years now? Ok, so they try to verify with old phone numbers and then allow you to change it BUT sends confirmation texts with the code you need to the old phone number anyways LOL.. Hopelessly and laughably stupid. I give up on trying to pay these morons. I guess I will pay them when I pay them.

No way to email Kohls so reporting my experience here. Saw a notice that Kohls autopay ended & we'd have to reinstate it with CapitalOne. Rec'd new cards in both of our names. Couldn't log in or set up a new acct w/CapitalOne. Called CapOne TechSupport but they could not send a verification code to either of our phones because their system didn't recognize our phone numbers?? Kohls has had our phone numbers for years.

So I had to send photos of my drivers lic. Then CapOne could not read iphone pics! (a lot of their customers have iphones!). Found a way to convert the pics to another format & resubmitted them. After a few days never heard back that we were approved so called CapOne tech support again. This person helped us log in & said our autopay was never stopped!

What an unnecessary waste of time.
