We also sell a range of high quality knitting needles, crochet hooks and accessories. Brands include KnitPro, Lantern Moon, Clover, Addi, Schoppel, Symfonei yarns Seeknit, and Euculan. Free UK postage from £100 and £30 for international shipping. Our wool ranges come in different weights from lace to 4-ply to Double Knitting. All are ideal for hand knitting and crochet. Every skein or cake of McIntosh is hand-dyed using a semi-solid dye technique to give visual texture to the finished project. Our BFL is accredited as 100% British wool by British Wool and our FABULOUS range is accredited as a British wool blend by British Wool. Our CALM range, which stands for Cashmere and Luscious extra fine Merino in DK. FABULOUS is a mixture of 55% British Bluefaced Leicester wool and 45% grade A Mulberry Silk in either DK or 4-Ply. BFL is 100% British Bluefaced Leicester - the 'king' of fibres' in DK and 4-Ply. ffluff is a lace weight fibre blend of 75% baby suri alpaca and 25% grade A mulberry silk. it's as light as air and warm to wear. Donegal Rich Tweed is 87% wool and 13% Donegal Nep. Available in DK and 4-Ply. All wool products come in a McIntosh cotton project bag. All yarn bands are made from recycled card with a biodegradable laminate.

Where to start I’ve never had to pay…
Where to start I’ve never had to pay for restocking an item because of returning a product and actually charging me the customer since when has the not have the right to try a product it wasn’t right for me so I sent these items back I accidentally ripped the one package when having a look I sent all of the products I bought but was not given a refund on the one item since when have these sellers have all these rules

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm genuinely sorry that you were disappointed with your return experience.
As a small, one-person independent business, I try to be as clear as possible about my returns policy before items are sent back. Before your return, I explained by email that returns are accepted on unopened items, that return postage is the customer's responsibility, and that a restocking charge of 10% (or £4.99, whichever is greater) applies. These terms are also published in my Terms & Conditions.
When your parcel arrived back, three of the four needle tips were returned in resalable condition and refunded immediately and accordingly. Unfortunately, the packaging for the 3.75mm needle tips had been damaged and covered with Sellotape. Once the manufacturer's packaging has been altered, I can no longer sell the item as new, so I wasn't able to refund that particular item. I appreciate that you mentioned this happened accidentally, but the item was no longer in a condition that could be resold.
I understand this wasn't the outcome you were hoping for, and I'm sorry for that. I always try to apply the same policy fairly and consistently to every customer.

I felt as though I was an important individual being served. It’s a great feeling when a customer isn’t treated by a ‘bot’ or other mechanical device as if one of a crowd of hundreds. My query was answered promptly and a mistake I made was sorted quickly without any suggestion that I was being daft! Thank you. It’s great being part of the McIntosh Clan!

Great one-man business
James went out of his way to provide a great service and fulfil my order, despite having problems getting supplies from the crochet hook provider.
He wrote detailed and considerate emails throughout our correspondence.
The order arrived in totally recyclable packaging, which I really appreciate.
I will definitely be ordering from him again.

Great selection of yarns
Great selection of Schoppel yarns (and other items difficult to find elsewhere) and good range in the 4 ply cotton, which was what I wanted- arrived well within the delivery time frame given and lovely quality- true to the colours on the webpage too- can't wait to get crocheting with it!

I completely understand that waiting for yarn can feel frustrating when you are excited to cast on.
In this particular case, the LANGYARNS products you ordered are specially ordered in from LANGYARNS in Switzerland for customers, rather than held as large warehouse stock here in London. Because of this, the product pages on the McIntosh website clearly state an estimated dispatch time of up to 10 working days.
Your order was dispatched by me in 7 days, which was 5 days earlier than the advertised timeframe, and I also sent email updates during the process to keep you informed.
Once the parcel left McIntosh, Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivered it within approximately 48 hours, which I was very pleased about.
As a one-man, home-based business, I always do my absolute best to balance offering a very wide range of specialist yarns whilst keeping customers updated honestly and personally throughout the process.
