Completely useless company, don't use them
I have had some longstanding problems with this company. Nothing ever gets resolved and half the time you don't know if your dealing with a human or chat bot. I am still waiting on two refunds on cancellations that I was forced to make due to their incompetent booking and refund processes. The first refund was due because one of my flights with Oman Air was cancelled by the operator. Strangely enough the second connecting flight with the same company was not also cancelled. The first flight was refunded via their internal insurance scheme but Kiwi were insistent that the second flight was still achievable in spite of them not advertising any such flights on their website. I had to cancel the second flight myself and I am still waiting a refund from Oman since 5th December. I had to cancel two flights that connected me from Darwin to Singapore as there appeared to be insufficient transfer time. My latest problem is that I am flying out from Sydney to Cairns in the early hours. I am transferring from Terminal 1 and going to Terminal 3. I have 85 minutes to do this transfer. There is no shuttle or train operating at the time of arrival and I would have to get a taxi. Average times of getting through Australian passport control are 51 minutes. I have to walk from the plane there and out from passport control to the taxi rank. I am slow and I would envisage it taking at least an hour to get to terminal 3 and then I have to get my boarding pass and go through security. Gates on domestic flights normally close 15 to 20 minutes prior to departure. To add insult to injury Terminal 3 was said to be shut between the hours of 11pm and 4pm. I don't know how I am supposed to get in the building but Kiwi made it clear that it was my responsibility to self transfer in spite of the glaring problems
