Completely inedible and a waste of money
I try to eat fairly low carb so when I saw a 250mg pack of their 'Super Bread' mix in a farm shop, I thought I'd give it a go. At £6.99 it felt a bit expensive to make a small loaf or half a dozen rolls, but low-carb bread tends to cost more than normal bread.
Followed the instructions to the letter - mixing it with 300ml of sparkling water, mixed it thoroughly, let it rest for 15 mins then formed into six balls for bread rolls.
Cooked it as advised, 30 mins in a pre-heated fan-assisted oven at 190C, on parchment paper on an oven rack. I actually gave them an extra 5 minutes as the mix felt very heavy and I didn't want them to turn out underdone.
After cooking, I let the bread cool completely. The outside of the 'rolls' (more like 'lumps', they hadn't risen at all) were rock hard, but when I sliced one, hoping to spread butter on it, the centre was still soggy, completely inedible, so I had to throw the whole batch in the bin. Seven quid I'll never get back again.
