Fantastic company will definitely use again

Hired scarifier and aerator from them recently. When started using scarifier found that the blade wasn't attached on one side to the scarifier body and it wasn't possible to adjust the height of the blade. Called the office and spoke with the woman who told me she would pass this information to one of their engineers and he would be on touch shortly. Apparently, no one called me back so I had to go to Toolstaion to buy suitable bolts to attach the blade so it could be used properly.

arrived on time! Whilst the nut of the rotavator came off unexpectedly the trader on the job managed to find a way to put that back in so the job was completed on time. I'm happy with the quality of the tool provided.

Kent Hire was extremely helpful. I hired a concrete crusher and after it was delivered, I had a query but they had provided a phone number to call if I needed more information.
The equipment was in good working order and I felt I got value for money.

Hiring all manor of equipment
Petrol saws
Stump grinders
Dumpers
Digger attachments to fit my machine
And larger diggers when required

They have also given me an excellent service, and always has everything ready for me when I arrive to collect and when things need to be delivered it's always prompt.

I honestly can't rate them high enough and would recommend them to anyone

Booked on line ... it was so easy, they delivered on time and collected when promised. Would 100% use again.

I’ve used Kent Hire several times now and they’ve always been reliable and easy to deal with. I’ve hired diggers on 6 separate occasions (3 recent and 3 previously) and each time the machines have been well maintained, ready to go, and did the job without issue.

More recently I’ve also hired their material lifters twice and again, the process was smooth with no problems. Delivery and collection have been straightforward, the equipment is solid, and the hire rates are fair for the service provided.

It’s clear they look after their kit properly and value repeat customers – I wouldn’t keep going back otherwise. I’ll continue to use Kent Hire for future jobs and would recommend them to anyone needing plant or lifting gear in the area.

Edit upon reply: there was no traffic, you just didn’t have it in your diary to deliver it. I was told on the phone that it was at Darnley Road and you had it within the hour following that. What’s the point of asking for a delivery time if you can’t fulfil it? And then placing the responsibility on the customer? If we’re making suggestions, maybe work on your accountability and customer service.

Whilst they've got some competitive pricing, I'm a little disappointed that they delivered our items 3.5 hours after the agreed time. It was only once I called three times to chase them that they started to get on the case. Not sure the collection/delivery charge of £30 is worth it, and if you have the appropriate-sized vehicle to collect, I'd recommend collecting if you can.

Hired a wood splitter from Kent Hire for 48 hours, drop off 10.00am & collect the following evening at 17:30pm . Paid an extra £20 for a full tank of fuel . Around 10:30am on delivery day I received a phone call from Matt at Kent Hire stating that they we running a bit late . Eventually the wood splitter arrived at 13:45pm . I had to ask the driver how to operate it as he was in a hurry . Soon after I checked the fuel tank . To my dismay it hardly had any fuel in it . I contacted Kent Hire and Matt replied that it was not possible as he had filled it up . I assured him that it was practically empty and I would expect a refund of £20 as I now had to go any buy a Jerry can to put some fuel in the machine . I managed to Finish using the wood splitter by 17:30pm the following evening by working late into the evening to catch up after being delivered nearly four hours late . I phoned Kent Hire to advise them it was ready for collection and again to ask for a £20 refund . The wood splitter was not collected for TWO weeks ! Once collected I again phoned Kent Hire and spoke to Matt who for the THIRD time fobbed me off saying he would refund £20 . I have NEVER received a refund !
I would avoid KENT HIRE LTD at all costs . From late delivery and collection , to charging extra for fuel that is not put into the machines . Extremely poor customer service ! Untrustworthy company and employees!

I don't know his name but the man who served a very flustered me was really helpful. He had a great manner and even carried the breaker to my car. He did the same when I returned it the next day too.
