Appalling customer service , I made a complaint about the in correct packaging on the Thai rice cakes.
Which states ..”made from plants”, since when is a cow a plant?
They contain milk,unfortunately the company are not interested in customer feedback or a refund.
I barely received an apology…avoid this company.

I tried the beetroot and balsamic rice cakes and was blown away from the first bite. These are on a different level and I won't be going back. I can't wait to try every other product in the Kallo range.

I adore the organic dark chocolate rice thins, especially since I’m trying to avoid UPFs in my diet and have a sweet tooth. They’ve been a favourite in my weekly shop for the past few years. However, I detest being deceived. They used to come in a pack of 90g, containing 8 rice cakes. But today in Waitrose when I bought them I immediately noticed the packet seemed slimmer. They’ve reduced the packaging size; now, I get 6 rice cakes in a pack all for the same £3 price tag. I’ll be looking for an alternative, 6 rice cakes for £3 is absurd.

I bought 4 packs of Organic Rice Cakes slightly salted which were stale and inedible. I contacted consumer services as I was too far away to return them to the store. I was asked to return them which took time & effort & a trip to the Post Office. They sent me vouchers by way of recompense of only £1 more than the items cost me originally!!!!

Oh dear - I really wanted to like these but it is like eating crumbs! They literally fall apart there is so little to them - even with a spread, they are not worth it. The Salt & Vinegar ones have a bit more substance but won't be buying these again! Shame.

Kallo veggie cakes are so good I can't stop eating them. Best flavour imho is beetroot and balsamic followed closely by caramelised onion chutney. These lentil cakes are so much nicer than rice cakes. So crispy and full of flavour.

I sent this message to Kallo recently but got no reply:

Dear Kallo team,

I am writing prior to posting on TrustPilot in order to give you a fair chance to respond (they haven't).

Firstly, I should say, I am a fan of your products and buy them often. I particularly like to warm them and brown them a little so the butter that I like to spread on them melts. This is always a bit tricky as they only need a very short time in the toaster before they burn. No problem there.

However, I'm a particular fan of the Blueberry and Vanilla - Wholegrain Low Fat Rice & Corncakes. I like to lightly toast these and spread butter and marmalade on them.

BUT and it's a big but, if you leave these in the toaster too long they ignite/explode big time!

I have checked the pack and can see no warnings about this. Now, I realise I am probably a fairly rarified case but these rice &corncakes cakes GO OFF LIKE A FIREWORK if over-grilled.

I'll wait a few days before hearing back from you before I post my warning on Trust Pilot etc as I don't wish to cause trouble, I just want to warn any fellow marmalade fans out there to BE VERY VERY CAREFUL if they decide to toast these particular cakes!
