Azpects EASYJoint jointing compound is up to 20 times faster than standard jointing methods, suitable for application in all weather conditions all year round. The brush in jointing compound is easy to use and reduces strain on the knees and back. The perfect alternative to grout and suitable for DIY and professionals. No stains and mark-free when used correctly.
Application:
Wet the paving: use a hose to saturate the area
The paving must remain wet throughout
Seal any sensitive paving before laying
Work quickly with a team of two: one sweeping and the other using the hose
Using small quantities of EASYJoint, simultaneously spread and wash the compound across the surface using a light jet of water and a broom/squeegee, allowing it to fall into the joints
Top up: ensure all joints are even and top up any low areas
Wash and clean: gently spray water across the surface to wash off any residue
When the water has drained away, use "flicking" motion with a clean, soft hand brush to remove any loose grains
Smooth the joints: when drained and dried, lightly "point" or "strike" the joints with a suitable finishing tool
For best results:
Use on a free draining site
Joints must be fully exposed to air to cure
Ensure the project has a suitable "fall" to allow surface water to drain away

I found Easy Joint very easy to use once I got the hang of it. It says in the instructions that you need to use lots of water in the process, and you will find the more water you use to soak the paving slabs and to mix with the compound, the better it works when you brush it in with a soft brush. I had the "sand buff" variety which has the consistency of demerara sugar mixed with treacle when straight out of a newly opened container. Avoid handling it by hand as it is difficult to remove. Use a trowel to mix it with water in fairly moderate amounts at a time as you go along . It is sealed in an airtight plastic bag in the container, and when opened, it starts to dry out quite quickly. That isn't a problem if you keep it nice and wet. I was quite surprized how much of the material was needed to do the jointing on a reasonable sized garden path. Obviously it depends on the size of the gaps between the paving slabs, but my path needed two 12.5 kg containers to complete a 65ft by 4ft path. Bear in mind it takes several days to harden properly. When it's done right, it does look good, and I am pleased with the result.

Works well, a little gritty, unless you key over it, you are left with a rough finish, 4/5 for final finish and cost compared with other brands.

Used this on a small patio with indian sandstone slabs. It was easy to use in accodance with the instructions - flowed readily into the gaps and left a very satisfactory finish. It was much quicker (and cleaner I suspect) than traditional grouting would have been. Durability remains to be seen.
