Had a full service on my Tiger gtpro plus the 1200 mile valve check,New tyre front brake pads,wheel bearings and head stock bearing ( due to Potholes!)All done quickly and efficiently bike now runs 10 times better ,many thanks to all at Js Gedge Hastings

Truly horrible to do training with if you are new to bikes they make getting a CBT really unpleasant in the end I went else where where I got good training and have been riding for a couple of years since with no issues.
J.s Gedges are not a company I would recommend to anyone ,when it came to buying my bike I couldn't even bare the idea of giving them my money as the experience trying to do CBT with them was absolutely horrible so even went else where for that which in hindsight I'm glad about as I wouldn't want to waste money on a company that I feel is bad

all instructors have been and staff in the shop were very helpful and would answer any questions thoroughly and make you feel at ease

Just bought my 1st Triumph, 1200 Tiger Gt Pro, wow what a machine unbelievable. I have used Gedges for 2 previous purchases some 30 yrs ago when I went to them I wondered if Trevor would still be there he was just, like myself, a bit greyer !!! Trevor saw me through the purchase in his usual friendly and informative way, the bike was handed over to me.... yes handed over to me by Gavin he is impressive with his broad knowledge what an asset to have they are a formidable team thye have been in business for decades they must be doing something very right well done Gentlemen look forward to meeting again soon.

A real friendly and helpful place that, when purchasing second-hand, I think you'd struggle to find better service.

Brilliant service from start to finish.

Considered ordering a Honda Grom (for a bit of fun) and emailed JS Gedge as they were offering a very good price for a new model.
Very timely responses and great information provided. I ordered my bike on Tuesday 19th and it arrived on Thursday 21st. They arranged a courier at reasonable cost.
Andy took photos of the bike and sent a video of it starting up and running.
Communication was fantastic - so much better than anything I've received in a very long time. Well done to you all. Thanks in particular to Andy.

Over the past 15 years I have met many bikers, none have had a bad word to say about J S Gedge. So a few days ago I drove 60 miles to hopefully find a bike for me. I have to say the attention and service I received was 2nd to none. Once I had chosen a bike it was made ready for a test ride. My family were well looked after while I was away. I asked for extras to be ordered and fitted for me and the bike was ready within 2 days.
I cannot see myself dealing with any other bike shop in the future.

Booked our 17yo son on CBT with Gedge. Initially, felt very comfortable with Trevor at the shop.
On the day, we were greeted by a very rude German instructor. Did not put our son at ease and accused him of never having looked at the highway code, and attempting a wheelie. He had spent the weekend swatting up on Code, and accidently slipped the clutch. She spent the morning yelling at him.
Trevor's teaching methods were good, but the German lady was the primary instructor. Our Son was not at ease and not enjoying what should have been a great day, he decided to leave half way through. Not his fault.
Contacted Trevor a few weeks later, and refused to agree to the facts, and refused money back. No goodwill. Denied attitude of instructor. Out word against his.
Certainly not the place for young people to start their biking journey. Very disheartened son.
Don't use them for CBT.
Can't comment on bike shop, although gentleman at the accessories shop was excellent.

I have had 1 lesson on a 125cc, then 1 lesson on a 500cc, and 2 lessons on a 650cc. Learning to ride a motorcycle from a complete beginner to the skills I have learned in a matter of a few 1 hour lessons has been damn good. The patience and knowledge has been next level. I will come back here and write another review if I pass my motorcycle mod1 and 2 test. If you want to go from someone who only knows how to ride a bicycle to someone who can ‘U-Turn, do figure of 8, emergency stop and generally know how to ride a 650cc plus bike in a matter of 4 lessons then here is the place to learn. All for a cheaper price than anywhere else I know in the south of England.

I purchased from new a 2017 Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 from J S Gedge. This July 2021 I booked it in for 20,000 mile service. Unfortunately they picked up a major gearbox fault, meaning they could not let me have the bike back for safety reasons. Cause for concern as it was 2 years out of warranty.
As you can imagine I was in a state of shock. The big question was who is paying for this complete replacement gearbox and when will I get it back!
Gedges were on it straight away, no arguing or fuss. Within an hour of the bad news they were back to me with the good news that Triumph were completely footing the bill. Unfortunately I must say there was a problem with a delay in their supply chain with the parts. So they took care of that by loaning me a straight from the factory new 900 Tiger.
I have my bike back now, all in working order. A courtesy call from Gedges to make sure I was happy a few days afterwards. Which I most certainly am.
Thank you and well done Gedges. From my experience your competitors have a long way to go to provide this sort of service.

Accidentally left front wheel disc lock attached when driving off, hence bike fell onto left side breaking the clutch handle and bending the gear foot lever. In spite of being extremely busy I took in the bike to be checked over and to my pleasant surprise, Gavin managed to replace said clutch lever and straightened out gear lever in a matter of minutes.
I have used Gedges since returning to motorcycling after some 40 years.! Would never go anywhere else. Always find them more than willing to help.
