The entire team from sales, administration and the actual removal on the day were prompt, professional, friendly and courteous. Big thanks to the removal team themselves who helped make our move go as smoothly as possible.

Excellent service again from initial enquiry to post move. The moving team were on time, careful, efficient and helpful. Customer service personal and responsive. This is the third time i have used Johnson’s to move and would not consider anyone else. I cannot recommend them highly enough

The overall experience was efficient and friendly. Our furniture and belongings were treated with care and Kyle and Ash were helpful throughout.

Johnson’s recently moved us from Cheshire to Herefordshire and were just great, The initial quotation was very reasonable and I was given a very thorough explanation of the process from the outset. Viv was extremely helpful, keeping me fully informed and the actual removal gang were just great. All very helpful, friendly and professional. Overall the Johnson’s team could not have been better and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Viv kept in touch thus ensuring really good communication throughout.Paul was highly knowledgeable when originally assessing our requirements and quickly made some adjustments we requested. Jake was also extremely efficient. He too ensured we knew exactly what was needed and he really was an excellent person to be in charge as he was a brilliant communicator who fully understood the job and all it entailed.

Admin staff we really helpful and friendly, also accommodating to several move out dates. On the day, the team arrived on time and were great & very friendly

From the moment Paul called to assess what was needed and give a quote to the furniture going into storage and then being delivered to the new property; the experience was made stress free by the team.
A special thank you to Viv who was able to rearrange things last minute for us.

Please do not trust these people with your valued items of furniture. The removal team, though quite friendly, were so eager to rush off home on their last day that they caused significant damage to 2 treasured items, one having sentimental value. Their insurers gave the same poor level of service and offered less than 40% of the repair cost leaving us £900 out of pocket.

Care, integrity and respect .....
Sadly this company or its employees are none of these.
Absolute cowboys and that is too good a term for them !

we had quotes from various companies and chose Johnsons. Service was excellent. we asked them to pack the fragile items and all were in perfect condition when we unpacked. They did everything asked and more. they provided a friendly and efficient service and I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Johnsons Home Removals: in summary, “buyer beware”, not a great experience and wouldn’t recommend! Read on for the full story……………

July 2022: we get removal and storage quotes from several companies as we had sold our house and had to put our belongings into storage for a couple of months. Decided to give Johnsons the contract because they were the only company who actually sent someone out to survey the job and their quoted price was on a par with one of the others.

August 2022: Their quote specified that they would use a containerised vehicle to move our stuff from the house into storage and that all our belongings would be placed directly into the containers at our property and a detailed inventory would be taken.
However, for reasons unspecified by Johnsons, this didn’t happen. They sent two non-containerised type vehicles, loaded them and took the all our stuff back to their storage facility to then unload the vehicles and put the items into containers. We were also not given the detailed inventory as originally promised on the day of removal. It then took several days of phone calls and emails from me to eventually receive the inventory which should have been provided on removal day.

October 2022: we get a date to move into the new property and agree a delivery slot with Johnsons. Their containerised vehicle arrives on the agreed date and our stuff is transferred into the property which occurs nearly without any issue. Unfortunately, they managed to damage an electrical appliance by allowing it to fall out of the vehicle landing onto the pavement outside the property rendering it unusable, unsafe and beyond economical repair.
They also forgot to bring one of our settees out of storage which had to be delivered on another day!
We make an insurance claim to replace the damaged item with Johnsons and were informed that their insurance only covers the second-hand value of any damaged item. We obviously didn’t read the small print when deciding which removals company to use so were unaware of this. It’s mentioned in their T&C’s that full new-for-old insurance can be obtained at extra cost but at no time was this offered by Johnsons. The replacement cost of the new appliance was around £180 but Johnsons offered only £75. We complained that under no circumstances would we purchase a second-hand electrical appliance as a replacement for the damaged item and that they would have to improve their derisory offer.

November 2022: after several weeks of emails and phone calls we settle on a figure of £125 to avoid any further delays.

So, to describe the service offered by Johnsons would be:

The whole move was unprofessional and seemed to be poorly managed by the office staff who although apologetic to all the issues, seemed to be complacent.

Poor communication from them and lack of responsiveness at times led to unnecessary stress.

Careless packing of the containers by them during removal led to preventable damage.

Insurance we believed to be in place was limited to the second-hand value only, leaving us significantly out of pocket for the damaged appliance.

We won’t use them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone sadly.

June 2022. Biggest mistake using this company - did not live up to anything they promised. Not a family firm using same removal men for years. Boxes not delivered on correct day, no bubble wrap etc. On removal day carpets were not protected, staircase no protection and chunk of plaster damaged on corresponding wall. Two of the three removal men were from an agency and not experienced. Removal van not large enough so had to wait half a day for a second one. Four items of lovely antique furniture damaged as they were unprotected and handled badly. A garden urn totally smashed and we waited four months to be reimbursed. When we complained we were met with rude, complacent office staff. DO NOT use - a very bad experience

What kind of company loses 2 containers of your personal belongings? Oh yes Johnsons Home Removals WINSFORD. I cannot moan about this so called company enough. They have loads of our personal effects and cannot find them. They assured us they would, but it is looking very very unlikely. They should hang their heads in SHAME at the disgustingly POOR POOR POOR service they have provided us. Quick to take the money, slow to hand back your items. How would they like me to remove their personal property and just shrug it off as lost. They are DIRE.... do not use them. I am absolutely heart broken as some of the items had sentimental value. They must be so proud to make people so upset and stressed. Unprofessional and unresponsive. They don't even deserve 1 star, bunch of jokers.
