We bought a unit that had a washing machine already in it, we contacted JLA when it broke as they supplied it to the previous occupant. an Engineer named Simon attended and advised after a 20 min visit he needed to order a part and could then repair it. within minutes I got a call from a colleague of his who wanted to sell us a new machine(this made me wary straight away). I adv we would rather go with the repair as advised by their engineer rather than buying a new one. The engineer then sent me a quote for the repair, I agreed to it and he came back. after another 20 minute visit he adv that all of a sudden it was not repairable, wanted to again sell us another machine! so after 2 visits, 40mins in total my bill was over £700, no repair and again trying to then sell us another machine. appalling service and we were either completely misled on the initial visit or the engineer was incompetent. my take is simple, fleece you for "call out fees" don't repair despite sending you a quote to do so and then just want to sell you another expensive machine whether you need it or not. would avoid if I were you.

Contract was signed nearly 2 weeks ago, still no glasswasher (we were told within a week), they now want to send another engineer to "check out the space", we've already had one visit and pictures/videos were taken and electricals checked. They are also now saying they cannot give us an installation date after the engineers visit tomorrow. Docusign links have a time limit so unfortunately do not have a copy of the contract, despite having emailed to apologise for missing the time frame (small business meaning reduced office hours) and to ask for a copy to be sent or the link to be resent, have not received a reply, but they were quick enough to reply to emails concerning signing the contract. They already left a poor first impression when they gave us an appointment for the first site check and turned up 3hrs late. We didn't receive a call to let us know in advance, called us at 12:30 when they were supposed to meet with us (and were over Essex-way, so they knew hours [even *an* hour] before and could have called earlier). And when Roger Folan finally did show up, not even an apology! Just a casual "hi, yeah, I should have been here earlier", like I didn't know, as if I hadn't been stuck at work on my day off specifically to meet them 3hours prior! Plain disrespectful. If they're this bad before install, how bad is it going to be when we need a call out? Are we going to be stuck with poor service for 8years? So much for the "best in the industry".
Update 1: First meeting happened Weds 25th March 2026, contract signed on the 27th March 2026, engineer due to come tomorrow to check out the area, meaning we have to wait even longer for install. We needed it asap due our old one breaking down and was told it would be about week after signing contract and we haven't heard a peep out of you since, our company President had to chase up Roger earlier today, that's the only reason we've got an engineer coming tomorrow. Disgusting service from JLA towards new (well, any) customers.
Update 2: Engineer has been, was polite and turned up within a reasonable timeframe. However he did the exact same thing Roger did when he visited which makes at least one of the visits feel like a waste of everybodies time.

Phone answered very quickly. The lady i spome to was very friendly and helpful. Engineer booked and coming out next day.
