JK Underfloor Heating - Spreading Warmth
I had JK Underfloor heating installed in my house in Reading back in 2017, and it was an excellent decision. I had the entire downstairs renovated, which included beautiful Amtico flooring. I was thrilled to get rid of the old carpets. My house was built in 1968 and did not have insulation in the slab, but the underfloor heating system significantly improved comfort compared to my previous radiator system. It provided all-around comfort that radiators cannot match.
Regarding cost, I did notice a significant drop but I also replaced my old boiler with a new high-efficiency Combi boiler, which worked great.
I currently live in Florida, where the ground is always warm, but if I were still living in the UK, I would not hesitate to install JK Underfloor heating in any house I might purchase.

Underfloor Heating Is Really Effective And Worth The Price .
I originally was just having my heating replaced and upon mentioning to my builder how I don' like the site of radiators in a home he suggested I go for under floor heating and recommended JK Flooring . We arranged a quote which I thought was reasonable even though it was more then I wanted to spend . I am so pleased because the 2 gents that carried out my work where very efficient and helpful carrying out the works . I am very pleased and impressed with the end product they installed .

The system is excellent
The system is excellent the guys doing the install were polite worked hard and did everything they could to do the best job. However they were let down by a tired machine, that whilst supposed to collect the dust, created a cloud throughout the house. They did their utmost to keep it controlled. I would though, if you are doing a big modernisation project, still recommend the system, and JK.

Our equipment is designed to leave minimal mess as the vacuum is designed to absorb all the dust cuttings as the machine moves along. Like any electrical / mechanical piece of equipment we can have the occasional problem however and we indeed do our upmost to ensure that when an issue happens with a machine that we look at ensuring it is serviced as soon as possible.
Its unfortunate to hear that this problem occurred in your home however and we will investigate to find which machine was being used so it can indeed be looked into by the branch that served your installation.
Please do accept our apologies for the dust issue.

We appreciate that there can be a lot of information to take in from our quotations around what needs to be done before, during and after our installations.
We do state on Page 5 of our quotations under Section 4. Quotation Information & Scope of Works, what our quotation covers in terms of our work and what needs to be budgeted for separately.
A heating engineer is always required additionally from our services as any primary connections from our UFH manifold to a main gas boiler for example needs to be installed by a Gas Safe registered heating engineer. We provide this statement / comment to your review mainly for the purpose of anybody reading this review, so they can also be aware that it is an additional requirement should they be considering us for their UFH installation.
We are glad however that you were able to get a solution with your plumber to connect everything up.
Should you have any questions at all when you are due to start using the UFH, then please do get back in touch with your original sales contact and we will be more than happy to assist you.

When I initially sent an enquiry I asked for a call and someone to come out. They simply won’t do that, and didn’t respond. I waited a week and filled in the enquiry form, which is basis and doesn’t cover particularly issues, however when they got the measurements they responded within a couple of days.

It would be good to know if you contacted us through our website only, via the enquiry form that you mentioned and filled in. Or if indeed you reached out first to one of our representatives directly through their directly e-mail [example; my.contact@jk-gb.com]
Submitted online enquiry forms through the website is are dealt with by a dedicated sales team. This will explain the immediate reply.
We would always aim to provide a quotation first, before undertaking a site visit. This is to ensure that we help to streamline the workload of our branch / regional contacts who undertake this work. It is always more beneficial for a customer to receive a quotation from us first as they are then able to determine if they are happy with the price and to then look at proceeding further before we start travelling. Site visits are not charged by us, so we need to ensure that the visitation we conduct is also going to be beneficial for our planning and delegation of upcoming projects.
We hope that by explaining this, it clarifies our quotation and site visit practices.
If you would be happy to contact me directly on a.brady@jk-gb.com so that I can look into your original point of contact with ourselves, then I would appreciate this.
