JD Gyms - Sheffield North Recensioni 

( The staff at the site are good people and do a great job and this review is just a reflection of the site and the ones who have real control of the matters that could be easily solved but are not )

I’ve been a member since September last year so this isn’t gonna be a unjust review just honest experience regarding the site.

The catch phase is “ fitness just got serious” is funny cause only thing seriously about it Is how much of joke it is

Equipment is always broken there’s not more than 10 days where something isn’t broken or isn’t fixed properly which is shame cause the stuff there really do their best & its nothing they really in their control

Both the lat pull downs on the matrix multi gym 5 station have been broke for 6 weeks never mind the fact that the individual weight stack on resistance don’t match cause someone didn’t fix it properly

It’s been well over 9 weeks since I nearly my tore my right pec on the functional trainer due the same issue made above if I didnt have nothing set behide the bench & the 11 years experience in the industry it would of been gone not because of incompetence or been over overzealous but due to the operatior lack of care and due diligence.

The list can go on & on but don’t have the energy to type and most other stuff is cover by others in this review section from broken toilet facility in the males for weeks and more complaints regarding the up keep & maintenance of the equipment.

I only stuck around cause it was local , had 60kg dumbbells , it’s 24 hours and decent for weight training & hybrid functional amenities but at this stage it’s pathic and rather deal with nitty’s outside NRG gym than be in any of Sheffield JD facilities cause both shocking

The Sheffield north jd gym is very dirty , the toilets are very unclean and the shower is very hot water burning your hair and your skin not a normal temperature, the gym temperature is very cold as much as you training you not feel sweating , you need to buy your own locker and key for the locker room. They not even provide a free weight check machine, you need to pay for it , the music is low volume , they want to put you to sleep !!!! The team is not helping at all if you need an assistant you won't get any help specially there is an asia lady working there is very rude , they don't have a manner at all . It's just wasting money i just cancelled my membership , i wouldn't recommend at all . 👎👎👎👎

Horrible and rude staff never want to go again and defenetley cancelinf my membership. I have sent complaint email about full details of what hapened

I liked the fact there was a wide range of equipment and it’s openly spaced.

No signal inside, no wifi,

I really struggle to get out of the building with the qr code. The ladies gym is too small. There really should be a sauna

Am so much happy to join JD Gym because all the facilities are very good and well conducive for gym.

More staff on gym floor and they should be giving new comers and induction.. also there’s never no disinfectant to wipe machines down

Excellent customer service

A lot of the equipment was faulty and the layout of everything had no flow. It just felt tired.

Love the womens only area has everything i need, they gym has all the machines you will need A+++

Excellent price and good variety of equipment & classes.
All I would say is that some machines need fixing and seem to be out of action for a while.

Awful! 29 days cancellation it says then I get an email saying it may take 26 days to log the cancel request?!!! wtf awful.
No phone number to call.

I actually got stuck inside the gym so had to join to exit as somebody held the door open for me and i presumed the help desk was inside to join up.

Gym is super packed and dark lighting eith loud bass music. Lots of young people. No cleaning stuff. No private changing rooms. Cheap but poimtless as you camt get on equipment I've gone back to previous gym where I pay 15pounds more but sooo much happier.

Great gym just a shame about all the machines that are out of order, this morning about 6 running machines and a good few weight machines have out of order signs on, apart from that it’s clean and ideal with it been 24hr

At this stage it really deserves one star should be called JD broken and not JD gyms

A huge amount of the machines are broken or faulty to a point where it just put out of order

I’ve been a member nearly half a year now so this isn’t a small isolated incident in small of period

The cables takes weeks to be repaired and sometimes when they have been repaired they haven’t been down correctly so there’s a difference the resistance profile on pulleys

Male toilets have been broke for well over 8 days now when I first walked in last week it pretty much flooded and looked like Scene off Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets I gave them the benefit of the doubt cause things happen two days later disabled wasn’t available so me and couple of individuals had to que to use the the one upstairs but before we spent Numerous times trying to get staff attention to get a code in order to use it the staff members didn’t even know where Assistance button was never mind the code and eventually one of the PT’s stopped his session to help us

The pricing doesn’t reflect the service and while mine is capped and the new pricing is ridiculous when they don’t even provide the basics will be joining gym group or nrg or 247 fitness cause theses issues don’t occur here and even if they did it wouldn’t be to the extent that last 6 months as been

At least for Sheffield North, the equipment is decent and the facilities are great. I have no complaints there.

However, I’m knocking off a couple of stars because I was quite surprised to find that I cannot enter the gym more than once a day. Especially in the winter, I like to do resistance training in the morning and cardio in the evening around work, since it can be snowy or icy on the roads. There is also no indication in the FAQs or terms of service that there is an entry restriction as far as I have been able to find.

Unfortunately, I most likely would not have bought a membership had I known, despite the quality of the facilities.

Cancelling the membership is so hard as it asks for membership number which is no where to be found

Very clean and well looked after equipment. Friendly and helpful staff

Missing general cleanliness would score 1 tbh if it wasn't cheap.
Machines broken and don't get fixed or have signs on.
Toilet roll on floor in locker rooms ect. Needs a cleaner and to be manned better.... sorry it's not killer way. It's the one near Queens road. Definitely no cleaners. A broken phone screen was in womens section for days. It's grubby.
