Plenty of equipment, 24hours, helpfully staff, excellent price.

I have been a member of JD Gym Newport since November 2022 - since that time I have regularly attended Jenny's Yoga classes, I do her yoga class three times a week - she is an amazing teacher and I would say that the yoga has completely transformed my life for the better! Its brilliant for all round well being and I can't recommend her enough.
I have also done her Zumba classes - you always come away in a good mood - totally uplifting.
Also, for building muscle strength I try and get to John's Pump classes twice a week, another excellent class - he is a very friendly and welcoming instructor, he changes up the routines regularly and I have really noticed a massive progression in my overall fitness and strength - thanks JD Gyms

The Gym is clean, efficient and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. I cannot think of one single area which needs improvement.

I have been going to this gym for just over two years now and the reason why is keep coming consistently is for Jenny's classes. She teaches pilates, yoga and Zumba and all of these classes are so enjoyable and there is always such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Even when I was a beginner I was able to follow the classes well and I have seen such a big improvement in my strength, stamina and abilities as Jenny is so helpful and encouraging. Coming to these classes is my favourite part of my week as they help me to relax and have fun whilst also maintaining my fitness. Thank you Jenny!

They open gym 24/7 but locker rooms are closed after 22pm lol(yeah they bought some lockers after 2months)
Today I forgot lock from my car, unfortunately i realise that after I get inside the gym, had to go out, and couldn't scan qr code again to get in, missed my training.
Sooo disappointed

Just finished another amazing yoga session with Jennie.

After a long hard week at work i always look forward to my yoga class with Jennie to help me relax and to prepare me for the challenges next week will bring. Always a pleasant atmosphere and popular class. Thanks Jennie.

The only reason I use this gym is because of Jenny's zumba classes! I have a free gym in work but choose to pay monthly at JD because of Jenny's classes alone. I love them and long may they continue! Such a friendly feel in the classes and such a good workout.

Stated no contract, tie ins or commitments, then asked for my direct debit after I paid for 1st month.
They then said they would cancel it, they didn't so I did.
Now my pass is revoked after just 2 weeks.
Gym too busy, lighting is terrible, not cleaned regularly. Lack of available machines.

Fab pilate and yoga 🧘‍♀️ classes with Jenny.. Always something to offer newcomers and the more challenging.
Never felt so good about myself, highly recommend.

The benches for bench pressing are awful. There isn't a proper bench in the ladies only section and all the benches in the main area have only two levels- as a normal size woman the low one is way too low and the top one is too high. The rack could be used in the ladies only section but none of the benches there are right for bench press. Sexist in the extreme. Why would we not want to bench press?

Squat racks and deadlift areas are OK, but I cannot continue to use this gym for my training in the absence of somewhere I can safely and comfortably bench press.

I like the gym because the price is good & it will be 24 -7 ., I can go training every day if I want to.

The gym facilities are amazing. Gym is clean and has all the equipment you could need. I think it's reasonable for what you pay. Shame I can't award it 5 stars, let down John who runs the classes. He was extremely rude and condescending towards me. I thought the gym is meant to be a place where you feel motivated, not belittled by others, especially as somebody running a class. He should know better.

Staff always very helpful, I joined for the classes and there are plenty to choose from.

It's was clean tidy and equipment was easy to find also was the right temperature
The access on the alp was alot easier than other gyms

Just joined. 2 great classes Friday evening, boxfit & body pump.
Lovely instructors and friendly members.

Big place Everyone can find something for yourself.
I love classes.

Gym too dark , CV machines not working , Lockers not working , lack of presence of staff .
