Craigs personal training. Pushing you to do your best. Giving good encouragement. And reassurance on form when lifting etc. would recommend him to anyone

Recently started at JD llansamlet & enjoying every second. Staff are all lovely.
Since starting I’ve started with a Personal Trainer Craig & he’s been amazing & so patient with me. Pushing me to my best.
Highly recommend the gym aswell as Craig!!

I’ve recently started going to the gym and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff are friendly and always keep it positive which is great and also are super helpful when you’ve got questions for them , I’ve also been working closely with a PT Craig there and he keeps me motivated positive and consistent in my workouts I aim to keep going there. I’d highly recommended anybody to go there.

A very smart gym, fully kitted out with state of the art equipment. The Manager Emma was so helpful, accommodating and made us feel so welcome 😁. Overall, a great fitness platform.

Emma and Gareth are amazing so helpful always infact all the crew are just awesome. The guy has everything yoi needed plus a Spon room there's loads there and the staff are great I'd recommend it to anyone

I am visiting Swansea, from the US, for 6 weeks. I went to JDGyms to get a month long membership. We tried to do it on site, but American credit cards do not have a "sort code." They said come back the next day and they would try to have it resolved. I went back to the house I am staying at and tried on-line, this time using my bank's information. Again, our systems differ so it appeared as though it rejected again. I waited over the weekend and got a notice from my credit card company that JD Gyms had charged me the same amount - TWICE. Each charge had been converted to dollars but each charge equaled the current exchange rate for £10. I went back to JD Gyms to make sure I could use the gym. The young man that met me at the door wouldn't listen to anything or even look at anything. He gave me a number to "call our billing department" so they could sort it out. After waiting about an hour for someone to answer, the gentlemen on the phone said, he could refund one of the charges for £10 but not the other one. I would have to email corporate for that.

I get it. I'm an American and we aren't the most liked people in the world, but the young man at JD Gyms was one of the rudest people I've ever met. He was condescending, rolled his eyes at me, and brushed my hand away when I went to show him the charges DID GO THROUGH. Even their billing department acknowledged it, but I was NOT allowed to use the gym.

Get with it! This is 2025 and you're telling me you haven't figured out a simple way for guests to join for short term? (Beyond having a friend do it for me and I pay them.) And, when the charge goes through, TWICE, figure it out!

This has been my ONLY negative experience in Wales. I've been coming here for years with no problems until this. I have to conclude that it is JD Gyms that is the problem. TERRIBLE customer service and greatly lacking in membership processing.

Nice gym with a lot of equipment and vibe.

Falls flat in the customer service. Very little communication over email and very long wait times for calls. Cancelled a membership 1 month before next payment which they didn't process and charged another month after the fact. Pathetic

Great gym just wish they paid for the license to use the colour mode in spin class. When loading up my bike the instructor told me not to put it in colour mode as they haven’t got a licence for it. I’ve been with ICG for years so I was used to the colour option.

JD’s Gym in Llansamlet has been open for almost two months, having taken over Simply Gym together with much of it’s membership. My membership was transferred smoothly and I have enjoyed the facilities provided by JD’s Gyms. The staff of course, are brilliant - too many to mention but, individually, from Management to Class leaders, each take our respective abilities and ages (mine being in the upper range) into consideration throughout each Class. I’d like to draw attention to the previous ability to book, or reserve, a place on each of our chosen classes, that is no longer possible and leaves many members disappointed when numbers are limited and Classes are full. Finally - the age-old problem of sometimes needing a ‘spare’ trainer to step in for any specific class when the scheduled trainer is inadvertently absent. Overall - thank you JD’s Gym - Llansamlet is fabulous.

I have to say this Gym is just perfect!, The Equipment is World Class, Staff are Sooo Positive, and drive a great atmosphere, culture and family feeling. The standards of cleanliness are refreshing too. Staff and Management have really made this work. I'm a Member for life now.

It is a stunning and very well equipped gym and the staff are so friendly and very helpful.

Gym equipment is good. Benches are too close to dumb bells. Need to be back 300mm. People can't walk past when your on bench. . Front walk through system is very frustrating for a lot of people. Over kill on lockers in change rooms. Seating in there suffered the consequence. Change these it would be 5 star for me I love it otherwise. Staff have been very helpful in there 5 stars. They were thrown in the deep from past gym rules to adapt to a bigger franchise rules they should be proud of themselves for adapting quickly. Well done emma and your team. Get the changes jd. Outstanding improvement made during the refurbishment with the gym now becoming the best in the area. Emma has the drive and passion to maintain that along with the team she leads.

Have to say myself and my wife were extremely impressed with the JD Gym in Llansamlet, Emma that works there was so friendly and helpful and showed us around the new improved equipment. Thanks Emma you were an absolute star.
