Good value gym (if they would just remedy the engineering niggles)
Good range of equipment, supported by pleasant personnel. Locker and changing facilities regularly checked and maintained clean. Ambient air, atmosphere and temperatures kept at healthy levels. Generally accommodating opening hours.
ONLY niggle is that some items of equipment are left faulty for too long instead of completing rapid repairs. For example, despite reminding staff, of the 8 or so ‘Concept 2’ rowing machines, most have been faulty for many weeks (if not months). The resilience/spiral flywheel dampeners are mostly ineffective, so it’s like pulling a piece of slack string. Also, the display monitor arm fixings are frequently loose (therefore droop).
Overall, if the engineering niggles were more thoroughly remedied, this would be a fully satisfying and good value gym.

Booking isn't required for classes - just turn up and take your place in the studio. 💪
Our class timetable can be downloaded from the JD Gyms website, simply choose your gym location from the 'Find your Gym' tab and scroll to the "download timetable" section.

Good range of equipment but outdated. Staff wonder around when not with a customer and often stand in groups and walk past some people who are doing machines wrong. Too many people walk off machines without cleaning them and staff don’t seem to mind.

Loved it not been to a gym for 8 years

Not been for about 2 years due family…
Not been for about 2 years due family commitments so was surprised it was still all the same equipment.
It would be good if you could add or swap certain machines from time to time.
On the same equipment can get a bit boring and mundane

Joined this gym back when it opened in 2018 then rejoined last month and honestly great gym with great facilities would recommend to everyone within the area looking for a new gym to join. Great staff , very friendly and helpful with a variety of PT’s , when I joined I got 2 free pt sessions for free honestly great for someone who wants to start pt but doesn’t know if it’s for them. Can’t wait to sign up for PT fully.

So far I am loving JD Gyms!
After being at my university gym for three years and then Pure Gym for two JD Gyms is a really refreshing gym experience. The amount and type of equiptment available is great as well as there being ample workout space. The sauna is a nice touch in the changing rooms also. Very worth the price.

Very good gym
This is probably one of the best gyms I’ve used and I’ve joined many gyms over the years. Big free weights area with plenty benches even during busy periods. Gym offers free passes and sometimes free PT sessions. I’ve never had a gym I’ve wanted to keep going back to before and have been four times already and still enjoying.
