No cleaning station
The gym has no cleaning stations i.e blue roll and sanitiser to wipe down machines etc.
Having to lay in other peoples sweat is disgusting and a health hazard…sort it out jd!

Thanks for the review. The cleaning stations in our gyms have been removed. These were first introduced during the pandemic when Government restrictions required us to do so. Since all restrictions were lifted some time ago, we have been gradually returning to our normal operations, with the cleaning stations being one of the last remaining measures.
We have however, provided extra bottles of sanitiser around the gym and we do encourage our members to bring in their own towel to clean off the equipment after use. Alongside this, we also have cleaners in the gym who frequently clean the equipment and work to ensure a high standard is maintained. If you do notice any equipment needs a wipe down, please let a member of staff know.

Phoned over 2weeks ago and left…
Phoned over 2weeks ago and left messages with phone number 3 times no reply. Had to go in to sort rejoining. A few machines not working and still not repaired after 3 days also noticed no cleaning station's when asked don't have them anymore also no hand sanitizers anywhere know.

Good to be back in the gym after months…
Good to be back in the gym after months away, due to menopause and slipped disc! Some of the equipment needs updating though, annoying when you know what you want to do and cant because of broken or faulty equipment. Also fed up of gym goers not putting weights back and having to walk all over the gym to find the right weight. Staff are good though 👍

The machines and everything else is good,staff some of them are good but some are very rude mybe it's because of the skin,last week to ask a member of the gym that,are we allowed to enter in that room with bicycles to see,she said now I'm a trainer go and find someone else to ask, replying yes or no,does it take time,I guess wearing those tshirts won't help, which is not fair just treat everyone equally, there's some stuff that we now know that they don't like black people, it's just a skin but all humans,we should work together to make the JD gym go far and standards well

Effortless joining on line, scan in with the app and carry on. Seems like a friendly hassle-free environment. The guy who works there explained everything in friendly manner.

Helpful Staff
The staff have all been very helpful and are approachable. The classes are run professionally and on time. The gym and changing rooms are very clean and tidy.

I've only been 3 times so far
I've only been 3 times so far. The layout is good, but it's a very busy place. You can't always get onto the machine you want
Overall, I'm happy so far. This coming from a 50 year old who dislikes exercise, but is realising it's a necessary evil.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Thought I’d give JD Doncaster a go. It was way too busy. Queues to get in equipment. The changing facilities were filthy as were the toilets with seats hanging off etc. Staff more interested in looking at the females in the gym than being available for advice for people using it. Total rubbish

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms are very popular and can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate at different times of the day and night.
To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities.
We do have cleaners who regularly clean the changing room areas. This is also checked by staff throughout the day. However, if you ever feel something isn't up to standard please don't hesitate to inform a member of staff who will be able to rectify the issue for you.

Advertised as 24 Hours
Advertised as 24 Hours, I go on a night time due to work, the studio’s locked, toilets, showers, sauna, lockers are closed and locked at 12, open again at 5am. You get to only use to main room. Whereas other gyms the full facility’s are available. I wouldn’t say this is a 24 Hour gym. Also can only go to the gym once a day as it will not let you scan back in. If you leave something there and go to pick it up you can’t, if you want to go to a lesson you can’t if you’ve already been that day. Good equipment but not worth the money IF you like to go late. App needs updating, other gyms let you know the busy periods, and centre the app around you, how busy it is, at that moment of time,etc this app gives you a code and lesson times that’s it.

Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Doncaster, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.
We understand you'd like to come multiple times in one day, this is absolutely doable, please press the green buzzer button near the gates and someone will let you in. The app does only grant entry once per day, but you're welcome to come back as many times as you like, we'll just need to let you in. 👍
If that’s something you do regularly, please speak to the Manager next time you visit, and they can help or drop your gym an email if you can’t see a Manager to speak to. the email address is doncaster@jdgyms.co.uk

Decent gym but shít showers.
Decent gym, only issue I have is the mens showers. If there is only one shower running, the water is freezing and will not get warm. It only gets warm when someone else hits another shower button. It's been mentioned many times to staff and been like it for well over a year.
