Wouldn't Recommend
Up the stairs, there more than enough treadmills and cross trainers but only 4 stairmasters and only 1 of each weight machine, which is often an issue when all the lads from school congregate around 1 machine making it impossible to get a shot, yet nothing gets said to them by staff.
The weight machines are sometimes out of action, and I put it down to some of the men using them, who let the weights slam down at the end of each set instead of using a controlled motion, which no doubt contributes a lot to the wear and tear of them. Again, nothing gets said to them.
There are 3 rowing machines up the stairs but none of them are currently working, and there are 3 exercise bikes with moving arms in the free-weight are but none of them worked when I tried them the other day neither.
There used to be rolls of blue paper and antibacterial spray to clean the machine after use, but they're not there anymore, and I don't see may people using anything to wipe the equipment after use.
The changing rooms are cleaned often, but for me, the lighting is inadequate. Many of the locking parts on the lockers don't close properly, and people put their stuff in them without padlocking them, so it's often a case of opening a lot of them before finding an empty one.
As someone previously said in a review, the gym is often very cold and I always have to wear a jumper when that's the case.
The classes that I've tried are very good, but the gym promotes using the app to check when classes are on or cancelled but is often not changed or updated when a class is cancelled.
To my knowledge, all the staff are pretty friendly, apart from the shortish, very stocky guy with glasses, who comes across very arrogant and doesn't even acknowledge me when we cross paths.
All in all, I only use the gym because it's cheap, convenient and I'm not tied in to a contract. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate in going elsewhere.

Overall ok, no cleaning facilities after equipment use, been on a few sweaty machines, found loose bolts and tight cables on machines. Staff are always helpful and polite

Hello Bryan. Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. The temperature can fluctuate with the seasons, but we always do our best to maintain a temperature which is comfortable for exercising. We have no doubt one of our team in Cumbernauld would be able to boost your temperature with a workout if it is particularly cold at any point!
If you see anything out of place (nuts and bolts) that have become loose after a bit of ware and tare, please let the team know where you saw them as they will be able to rectify this asap before they get kicked around the gym floor and potentially put some equipment out of order!
We do encourage our members to bring their own towel to wipe down equipment after use as well as have our team go around each area of the gym to ensure the equipment is cleaned thoroughly throughout the day.
However if you have seen anything they may have missed, please do not hesitate in contacting a member of the team.

Amazing gym and staff
Started at this gym fairly new to the community, approached a member of staff for some help, Ross, and he helped me getting my foot in the door with workouts, now have him as a PT and I’ve never been more confident. Gym is always clean, nice and cool, and everyone is lovely.

Great gym
Great gym - loads of space, well laid out and the staff are really friendly. The hours are good for fitting around work and other commitments.
Shout-out to the best PT out: Ross! He's really helped grow my confidence and made me enjoy going to the gym 💪

A friendly gym for everyone
I loved JD, which I visited for the first time. I became a member here and I am enjoying going to that well-equipped, friendly gym, where I feel good about myself and can work out at the pace I like most.

Had a problem accessing the QR code to enter gym due to Internet connection but apart from that. everything was fine..Was doing a PT session with Taylor Bowie and was amazing explaining everything really well on how to do things correctly.

Okay
The equipment in Cumbernauld gym isn't great. A lot of the machine with cables attached, stick, and don't make an easy smooth pull/ push and there are no paper towels to clean the equipment after use.

Joining was as easy as ABC as the staff…
Joining was as easy as ABC as the staff took us for a tour and showed us basically how to use the equipments, Also, the process of enrolling online was simple. I have not had any regrets joining and the flexibility is WOW

Fantastic vibe
The atmosphere in the gym is very good ,the lightings are cool,people are kind helpful PTs are very attentive and professionals.Equipments and areas are always clean and tidy,machines are well serviced and are in perfect conditions as always.
Aircon could be better during the summer months,also music could be slightly more motivational but still a spot on place👌Highly recommend it!

This gym has everything you need
This gym has everything you need. The only downside is that it’s very dark inside. I would prefer it to be lighter inside. Dark walls, dark ceiling and windows are covered over .

A diamond in the rough.
The sheer size of the gym, with the different areas for cardio, free weights, machines etc, is very welcome.
The cleaning staff are visually evident and courteous and the trainers are engaging without being overbearing.

Oh no! We're really sorry that you were unable to gain access to the gym on this occasion, but please don't let that be your last visit...
Our gyms have barriers at the entrance which you can open using our contactless entry app. If you are unable to gain entry for whatever reason, there is a green button near the gates. Press that and it alerts a member of staff to your presence. Someone will come over to help.
