Good gym but spoils it with no air con literally can not breath in there jd is abig franchise air con should not be a problem gym group round the corner has air con and isnt as big a franchise making me wanna move tye heat in the gym is just to much

I joined the no‑contract membership because I only go to the gym in winter. I thought I could cancel at any time.
I sent the cancellation form one week before my next payment. They replied and said they received it, but told me the membership was not cancelled and that I had to wait. After that, they charged me for one more month.
I wanted to stop the direct debit, but the website warns about extra administration fees, which feels wrong. The cancellation was confirmed only after the extra payment had already been taken.
£30 is not a lot of money, but the feeling of being tricked is very bad. I will not join JD Gym again, I will not shop at JD Sports again, and I will warn others.

I’ve been a member since the Cheltenham branch opened. The Safety Squat Bar has been missing the main pad for over a year. I don’t understand why the membership is so expensive if it’s not to fund the upkeep of equipment

Also why does the gym allow for people to use the lockers when they are not in the gym. I was 1 of 5 members in the gym and all the lockers were in use. Which meant I had to carry my bag around.

Great range of equipment although some not designed for people with certain conditions… arthritis, loss of balance to name a few.

If you had a machine called the Minibeast which combats these problems helping people keep the right posture whilst feeling supported then like myself I wouldn’t be so restricted as to what I can and cannot use. As I have a bad back, my friend has loose cartilage behind the kneecap and shoulder impingement along with loss of balance so she feels she cannot work the muscles she wants to effectively.

There are lots of young boys (18-20 year olds) in the changing room posing in the mirrors and taking photos of themselves when people are naked and trying to get dressed in the background.
This is not okay, and needs to be policed accordingly.

Mark is fab, early morning gym psychopath, but super friendly.

Have now joined a Saturday morning group PT class with Carlos to improve my fitness has he has completely motivated me.

Carlos is great and friendly and great at tips for Hyrox and always rocking cool trainers! If I could put 6 stars I would - 😉

Clean, always a lot of available machines. Staff is friendly. I wish there were more areas like the on with the mats against the wall in the smaller weight section. Besides that it's great! I always recommend to friends looking for a gym.
