Disappointing Experience – Gym in Disarray, Sauna Unreliable
I joined JD Gyms with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The gym is consistently messy, with weights scattered everywhere. It's frustrating to waste time hunting for equipment because people don’t put weights back, and staff seem to turn a blind eye. I did hear that they were planning to enforce a “put your weights back” rule, but nothing seems to have changed, and the chaos persists.
My main issue, however, is with the sauna, which was one of the primary reasons I joined. It rarely reaches a proper temperature, and on the rare occasions it does, it’s completely inconsistent. Some days it’s decently hot, and other days it’s barely warm, which is unacceptable for a facility advertised as having a sauna. I know for a fact that several members have complained about this issue, yet nothing has been resolved.
What pushed me to write this review is the lack of professionalism. I emailed the staff to provide feedback, and no one has even bothered to reply. Ignoring customer concerns shows a complete disregard for members, and it’s unacceptable for a gym that charges a membership fee.
I expected much better, and unless these issues are addressed, I can’t recommend JD Gyms to anyone.

Joined and next day went in QR wasn’t working, tried so many times it didn’t work, asked a member of staff she didn’t know what to do and how to get me in, the very next day I telephoned numerous times through out the day and no one picks up the call, absolutely ridiculous they don’t even care, I will be cancelling membership and going elsewhere.

Zumba Instructor Rihana The Best Classes
only good thing about the gym are the Zumba classes they are absolutely Brilliant, the Zumba Instructor Rihana is Amazingly Fabulous, absolutely love her and her classes, she caters for all the members in her class and takes time out to talk to them one to one, she is brilliant, the Best Zumba instructor have better then previous one they had. They need to add more Zumba Classes on the timetable, also ladies gym could be looked at and the spin room as half the machines do not work and nobody seems to be bothered about getting them fixed, management is slacking a lot, could do with people who actually have a clue, and cater for all the gym rather then downstairs.

Great gym
Great gym, clean and tidy. Nice ambience to the place. Good music. Lots of tv screens with subtitles playing. Not noisy like I had anticipated. All the gym goers are respectful which creates a nice welcoming environment.

The facilities them self's are good although the changing rooms could be better kept, the main problem I find with the gym is the younger ones on there phones instead of working out, in my day their was a gym etiquette that everyone followed and that made all gyms a good place to get a proper workout

Make JD GYM (Bradford.) Great again!
It's been a long time since I've been a member at this gym.
Have to say unfortunately it seems like its gone downhill.
Most importantly, Why is there now only 3 squat racks in such a busy gym? There was 7 places to squat before. One of the more popular exercises and probably the best and now there's only three places to do it from.
There doesn't seem to be as many weight plates in the gym as there was before. Same with barbells. Finding weight collars is like playing Where's Wally.
A lot of stuff seems to be out of order.
Even before you walk in one of the doors is broken.
The bags for boxing are too soft and should be replaced with better ones. Even try adding aqua bags, double end bags and a better section for boxing as quite a lot of people who come to the gym can box.
I think this gym needs a big refurb and focus on placing equipment in better places.
A separate section for powerlifting with squat racks deadlift platforms and bench should be made. Also consider adding a section for calisthenics with better places to do weighted pullups and Dips.
There should be at least five squat racks with Deadlift platforms incase some people want to do Deadlifts.
Only writing this review because I'm bored and would love to see this gym become better again instead of pretty crappy like it is now.
It's a very busy gym and seems like it's been neglected. Not much care into it as opposed to it's first and second year it was open.
