Good run on treadmill so far

I've only been once to use the gym, since I joined about one week ago. But in that short time I felt at home at the JD gym. The staff are very helpful, and I found that the equipment is more than adequate for my needs. I was also looking for a gym that has a Sauna, which they have. It enables me to relax, and to sweat out remaining toxins.
I'm seventy one years old, and I was seriously considering calling a halt on joining gyms. But after enjoying my first visit to JD gym, and keeping the fees to a very reasonable level, I changed my mind. Cheers to all.

The only bad thing i can say about JD Gym( Barnsley) it's, there ar not enough cable machine, and few ar not very good from the one they have. Apart of that very nice Gym i enjoying so far.

Fantastic gym lot of equipment, and staff could be more helpful. I've seen a lot of people on their way to injury by doing the exercise wrong

Friendly staff and good facilities

Very dirty. Rubbish left on equipment and next to equipment. All equipment is sweaty. Staff just sit in office

JD gym is excellent in all aspects as below,
Easy to get to and on site parking.
Secure entrance members only.
All staff are welcoming and answer any questions you have.
Very relaxed and plenty of equipment to use. This is the first time experience in this gym over all I am very happy and I would 100% recommend JD GYM

Nice January promotion.
Gym is well stocked.

However, too busy. Couldn't get near the equipment. Impersonal. Not very welcoming. Walked in and made it clear it was my first time as just joined. Negligible help.
Managed an impromptu induction which was poor and individual didn't seem very confident or capable.
Cancelled membership same day.

It's very busy all the time, and certain members think they have the right to hog 2-3 machines at once for their training. This needs to be addressed. Car park is mostly always full and you have to wait to get a space!

I decided to join, after being at my previous gym ten years, which became very expensive and the equipment was always broken and ac never working properly. Good selection of equipment, very modern inside and good value for money. The only downside being the state of the car park and the choice of classes at the Barnsley gym, which I why I chose to upgrade to the plus membership option.

A great all round gym setup plenty of machines free weights and classes also great cleanliness as always and even better it was just 10 pound for the first month

The car park is too small for and needs resurfacing. The sauna emits an awful smell and folk wear their underwear. (Do you have any hygiene rules - do you enforce them ?) The entrance is often left open and unsupervised. Do you have fire regs to adhere to? No cleaning materials for cardio equipment.

Struggled to get my instruction how to get in, I had to message a few times before I got an answer, and went this morning around 9.30 and was really looking forward to the stream room after my workout only for it to be cold. ( the steam room is why I chose you over the cheaper competition)

Quite a few machines were missing the rod that's goes in the weights too.
Apart from that it's Good.

Good and well equipped gym. Nice functional area

nice gym, lots of equipment, roomy, decent priced membership, dont think alot of the trainers who seem to hide in the office which is not very good to me, overall id recommend.
