DO NOT GO TO JBHIFI AT ERINA FOR TRADE INS
They were very rude to me and when it came to explaining things to me, I didn't understand so I asked someone else and they became very fustrated with me. They were not properly answering the questions I was asking and being very snobby and rude because I was confused. They were judging me on what I was wearing and how I had a bag on my back. They kept speaking to me in a very uptight snobby tone beacuse of what wanted to trade in. I ended up leaving because everyone was staring and being rude to me would not reconmend going to jbhifi at erina horrible costumer service.
New TV process
Ordered a TV on-line to be delivered, old one removed and new one installed. Well the delivery happened but by a contractor. Theres no indication of installation nor removal of old TV. Currently on hold ... who knows for how long. Will keep you updated on whether the rest, that Ive paid for, actually happens.
Well, after an hour waiting, they hung up. Guess Ill have to do the rest ... if you want something done, do it yourself.
JB HiFi online is terrible
Here was the task: Receive an order for a product, pull it from inventory (either central warehouse or store), package, address, send. JB HiFi seems unable to do this process reliably. Even though there are hundreds of companies that can do this, JB HiFi has management of such limited ability that they are unable to >>copy<<.
Here is what happened. You judge...
Online process was a warning: "Click and Collect" wouldn't work. Local store in Newcastle had no stock and, for some reason, the local store couldn't order it in. Instead the system required delivery from somewhere else..
It took two weeks (two weeks!) for the order to be processed. Fulfillment ended up being from Tamworth. Why would Tamworth post a small product to Newcastle? Because it was an opportunity to get rid of damaged stock. Yes.
What arrived was a battery box that had been opened and clumsily re-sealed. Had the battery been used? Had it been mistreated in someone's hands and then returned? It's a NiCad battery - misuse can mean fire risk. So JB HiFi Tamworth delivered this used stock.
Want to call customer support? Good luck. The queue is always long. They want you to go online and play with their chatbot. Takes five minutes get put into a queue for a human. I'm 53rd in queue. It takes 22 minutes to get to 7th. And then? "Higher than normal calls" (do they think anyone believes that?) so the site suggests email. I'm 7th. I'll wait. 15 minutes to get from 7th to 2nd.
The JB HiFi staffer is just doing a job. Not her fault. It can be 90 seconds between responses. So she's handling three or maybe five calls at the same time.
The solution: Tale the bad product to a bricks and mortar store where they will replace it or...! ORDER IN A REPLACEMENT. But be sure to take the invoice with me. Invoice? In the delivery package. Nope. So after a few more minutes I get a PDF of the invoice. Oh yeah... they refunded the delivery charge. Yay.
I'm yet to go to the PHYSICAL STORE and see whether they have one on the shelf (why didn't click and collect work?) or order one in.
I will never, as in n.e.v.e.r. buy from JB HiFi online. I will only walk into a store if I just happen to be near one. Even then, exercise caution. The people seem good. But management? No idea how to run something this big.
Over the years I have made many…
Over the years I have made many purchases from JB-HI-FI in store and all product purchased were in great condition and trust worthy. Following this logic i recently purchased a phone online from jbhifi for a few days everything was great i was loving my new phone... Then i tried to take a photo and suddenly the back camera wasnt working reset my phone and then got a notification that the camera detected was not a genuine apple part. Have tried reaching out in hopes of gaining a refund or to return the product in exchange for another i have heard nothing back. To summarise in store they are an amazing and trust worthy however online is a different story.
Ok so I ordered canon printer ink…
Ok so I ordered canon printer ink online and received 2 x LP records, tried talking to their stupid online bot who had no idea what I was talking about and finally the bot said a agent will get back to me within 24hrs, after not hearing anything I rang the jbhifi customer hotline only to be told I’m 26th in the queue, 2hours and 6 mins later I finally got to speak to Josh who was so polite and actually helpful, he sent an email to the store where my purchases came from as he felt it was a mix up between 2 orders and said someone will be in contact with me from the Warrawong store, the following day I received a phone call from Kerry Ann who asked what would be easier them sending a new pre paid package for me to return the records or bring them to the local store for exchange, I stated taking to local store would be easier as waiting for a pre paid package to return it would no doubt take time so she said ok no worries I’ll refund you the delivery cost off your original order, I went to the Warrawong store asked to speak to Kerry Ann and some male staff member said to the other lady behind the counter just swap that for that so I got my ink and they got their records but no mention of the delivery refund money? Then Josh the original guy I spoke to sent me an email asking if he can close this support ticket as his notes state the items have been exchanged, I emailed back no we can’t close the support ticket as I haven’t received my delivery refund yet. Still waiting for a response about that.
The whole purpose of buying stuff online is so you don’t have to go to the store, but this mix up was ridiculous I get mistakes happen but the stuff around to get what you actually ordered in the first place is a joke. Not to mention the extra petrol, time spent on the phone and with the bot, and the actual people in store. This was a very unpleasant experience.
So my experience today was awful
So my experience today was awful. I was asking about new tv's as I'd like to pair my earbuds. I was basically told to go and buy hearing aids and he walked off. This was the Erina store. I've bought many items from them. Not now. Lost a loyal customer. Rude as.
Go see Ronny!
I recently purchased and iphone17 Air from JBWIFI, Cannington. Being tech challenged (yes I'm that age group), I can only give 5 stars to the young gentleman Ronny, who went out of his way to change everything over from my old phone to the new. No hiccups..hooray! I cannot thank you enough for your patience and help. Oh also purchased an air fryer and the white one was out of stock, I promptly received my new one within a couple of days. Service 10/10!!
I went to jbhi to buy an electric…
I went to jbhi to buy an electric chopper but was sold a pull type chopper instead.I returned the machine a couple of days latter in the original unopened box and was told we will not give you a refund. I was told we will only give you a store credit,so if was forced to spend my refund on buying another unwanted artical. This is the last time they will get me through their doors.
Extremely poor customer service.
Placed an order on Monday July 13.
Expected delivery 16th at latest.
Have spent at least four or five hours try to get info, including two hours in a cue to speak with a human, who in a resonable voice told me to wait for one to two business days, as there is an investigation ongoing.
Team Global Express tracking has my order in Adelaide sinceJuly 14th…citing:
“dg paperwork incomplete-held in depot. We will contact the sender for further information”.
As of today, four days after the above was posted, there has been no communication between JB hifi and Team Global Express, other than to acknowledge that the situation is being invesigated.
This is extremely frustrating and quite frankly unprofessional. Customer service is lacking.
Unsure if a human will read this or if it will be scanned by Ai…very disappointing experience thus far.

Absolutely shocking service.
Absolutely shocking service.
I ordered an Anker power bank over three weeks ago so that I would have it well before my upcoming trip. At no stage during the purchase process was I advised that the item was on back order.
When it still hadn't arrived, I visited my local JB Hi-Fi store, which had the exact product sitting on the shelf. I was then told that because I had ordered it online, they couldn't simply transfer my order to the store or give me the item that was in stock. Surely online and in-store are part of the same company?
To make matters worse, the sales assistant told me there was no one they could even contact in the online department to resolve the issue. So despite JB Hi-Fi having the product in stock, and despite the fact that I had already paid for it weeks earlier, they couldn't cancel my online order or provide me with the identical item from the store.
To top it off, I then received an email asking me to review the product—even though I still hadn't received it. When I finally went to leave a review, the review link had already expired!
The lack of communication, flexibility and customer service has been incredibly disappointing. If I had been told the item was on back order when I placed the order, I would simply have purchased it elsewhere. Instead, I'm now leaving for my trip without the product I ordered more than three weeks ago.
Absolutely appalling customer service.
Cancelation after cancelation of orders…
Cancelation after cancelation of orders from this company. They have zero customer service and a one of the worst websites available for retailers. Stay away from these rip offs.
JB Hifi Bad online customer service.
While the in store experience has always been good, the online experience has been horrendous. My urgent parcel got lost by Australia Post and no matter how hard I tried I could not get JB Hifi to respond to me. It's AI is useless. I tried to talk to someone on the phone and got put in a queue of 80. I patiently waited only to get dropped out of queue at number 1 and put back into a queue of 85. Next I tried emails which I am only getting responses of we are very busy and someone will get back to me soon - two weeks later. In the end I got a refund from PayPal. Avoid online like the plague.

I signed up for two JB Hi-Fi Mobile plans because Telstra has a reputation for having Australia’s best network. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing.
From the day the services were connected, both phones have suffered from very poor mobile data performance at our home. Speeds have often been around 3 Mbps despite showing a 5G connection, making it frustrating to browse the internet, stream content, or use apps reliably.
After lodging a complaint, Telstra investigated and confirmed that the devices had experienced very poor signal strength and frequent switching between network technologies. However, because they determined there was no network fault, they refused to provide a meaningful resolution.
The most frustrating part is that if we want to cancel, we’re expected to repay the promotional gift card value that came with signing up, even though the service has not met our expectations. We were effectively told to use Wi-Fi, stand near windows, or purchase additional equipment to improve reception.
I’m disappointed that JB Hi-Fi sold us these plans without any indication that the service at our address could perform so poorly. A mobile service should work where you live without requiring extra hardware or workarounds.
I hope JB Hi-Fi and Telstra review how these plans are sold and support customers who experience genuine coverage issues after signing up.
JB hi-fi Glen Waverley
JB hi-fi Glen Waverley. I'm grateful to Connor for excellent service and value on my new Motorola 5G and discount on the Dyson Vac. Connor went the extra mile in service, he even transferred my phone contacts and Sim for me. TY! 😊. I add that to get the good service, you need to go in, because anything can go wrong online, right?
I'm really disappointed with the online…
I'm really disappointed with the online service from jbhifi. On online chat they offered a quote then discontinued the chat and didn't send the quote. A premium product previously bought by jbhifi broke just outside of warranty. No offer of any special, just a 'lets buy a new one'. We've been loyal customers for several years but the way they handled my online complaint was really disappointing. You can't actually submit feedback directly to them which is why I'm doing so here. They closed my complaint without telling me and then had the audacity to send a thumbs up or down. I said my complaint hadnt been resolved and they then said the store had tried to call me. I had no idea they had moved the communication to phone and they were trying to call my husbands number. No apology, no acknowledgement whatsoever and again they just closed my query and sent another thumbs up or down. When I tried to say thumbs down it said you've already responded and at no point did it allow me to provide actual feedback. You can't submit a complaint at all. My complaint now is more the handling of the complaint than the issue itself. Really disappointed.

I went to the JBHI Marketplace to a phone . The website suggested I could buy reseller phone for less money. I presumed the company was ethical because Jbhi was advertising. GREEN GADGETS HAS REFUSED TO REFUND ME FOR A GOOGLE PIXEL 7A . THE Motherboard HAD BLOWN UP AND THE PHONE REFUSED TO CHARGED.
IF ANY INE KNOW THE Ownership OF GREEN GADGETS PLEASE RESPOND. I feel ripped off by JBHI.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET!
I would like to share with you my experience with JB Hi-Fi, Broadbeach, QLD. They are one of the worst companies I have had the misfortune to have dealt with! No wonder the staff are rude, arrogant and aggressive when their area manager is worse than all the staff put together. In my opinion she should be scrubbing toilet bowls with her tongue! Stay away from them, use The Good Guys / Harvey Norman instead! Let's completely boycott this brand! Please see correspondence below:
My Email Sent to their CEO on 1/7.26
Last Wednesday I was absolutely devastated to wake up to a blank phone screen, which resulted in me losing all my data and contacts. I was working in Surfers Paradise at 1pm that afternoon so decided to go early and pop into your Pacific Fair store, which turned out to be a very grave mistake!!!!!
Upon entering the store I was advised to make my way to the phone section where a member of staff would meet me. I was astounded to be faced with a guy who showed absolutely no interest in me as a human being and was only interested in selling me the most expensive phone available - he simply wasn't listening to what I needed, I kept asking him the difference between 2 similar phones but he simply did not give a shIt. Eventually, I had to make my own decision and asked if he could urgently assist with simply setting up the transfer between phones, which he point blankly refused to do!!!!!! I am semi-tech savvy, but how do your elderly clientele cope when faced with rude and arrogant 'Bill's' that work for you?????? His arrogance was unreal!!!!! I only found out his name as I asked the lady who served me. I repeatedly explained to every member of staff I encountered that I didn't have long and needed to get to work, but it was like I told each and everyone of them to take their time, as they showed no urgency whatsoever.
Eventually, when my purchase was finalised I walked the 20 minutes back to my car and sat and attempted to change the sims between my old and new phones. The sim port on the brand new phone I had just purchased would not open no matter how often I tried, I then walked back to the shopping centre and went to 2 separate phone kiosks and asked for their assistance in fitting the sim into my new phone but they both were unable to do so and both advised that the phone was faulty and that I should return it to the store where I purchased it!!!!!
By this time I was already late for work and ran back to your store, only to be faced by another rude and arrogant employee who had no intention in helping me, so I insisted that she call the manager, who was actually nearby, which was a relief until I found out that the manager was worse than all her staff put together - rude, arrogant and abrupt - how do you train these staff Mr Trainor??? not one of them showed an ounce of good customer service. The manager spent at least 15 minutes trying to open the phone (despite my repeatedly telling her that I was late for work) and kept accusing me of damaging the phone sim port, until eventually she was able to open it, but at no time did I receive an apology of her insistent accusations that I had damaged the phone. She then kept insisting that there was nothing wrong with the phone but I insisted that she get me a brand new one, which took her another 15 minutes to do as she kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lost 2 hours pay as a result of your staff and would very much like you to immediately reimburse me for the $150 lost to the following bank account: BSB: xxxx Account Number: xxxxxxxx. Should you disagree with my request, I would like to receive a copy of the CCTV footage for both my visits within 48 hours.
Email Received 2/7/26:
My name is Michelle and I am the General Manager supporting our Queensland stores. Cameron Trainer passed on your feedback and asked that I contact you directly. Acknowledging that the team replaced the phone in store, as a gesture of good will and to resolve your complaint we offer you a $150 JB Hi-Fi gift card. If you could please advise your preferred store to pick up the gift card or alternatively provide your postal address, we will have that organised for you.
mXXXXXXX.black@jbhificom,aU
I responded on 4/7 (which has bn ignored)
Why have you not sent me the signed minutes of meetings taken whilst conducting the staff interviews that you allege to have carried out?????
I expect to receive the following by COB Monday 6/7/26;
$150 paid into my bank account
Copies of Staff Interview minutes of meetings
Confirmation that either yourself or your CEO will be meeting me and my lawyer friend at your Broadbeach store on Wednesday 8 July at 12.30 prompt in order for me to view the verbal / visual CCTV footage of both visits to the store.
HOW FUNNY THAT NO RESPONSE HAS BEEN RECEIVED!
STAY AWAY FROM THEM EVERYONE, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT TRASH!
Chatbot and telephone customer service never answers after repeatedly waiting hours
All I wanted to do was chat to someone to understand why an online order was cancelled. Numerous email responses with them saying it's handled by a 3rd party and sorry we don't know and can't help you. I tried the chatbot. Then I waited in a phone queue for over 3 hours (from position 58) and when I finally got to next in position it just hung up. I then went back online and the bot said it would connect me to a team member straight away. I was then placed in position 163 in a virtual queue, 2 hours later after watching it countdown to position 1 it just ended with nobody chatting to me. Their customer service is appalling and places you in an endless vicious circle. Such bad service.
Damaged Limited Item with Unsatisfactory Customer Service Resolution
I received a Pokémon TCG box that was already damaged on arrival. The packaging was not adequate to properly protect a collectible item, which resulted in additional damage during transit.
I’m very disappointed with how this issue was handled by customer service. The resolution offered did not reflect the actual loss in value of a limited collectible item, and was limited to a delivery fee refund, which I don’t consider appropriate in this situation.
During the online support chat, I also experienced the conversation being ended before the matter was properly resolved, which added to the frustration of the overall experience.
Given that this is a limited and difficult-to-replace item, I expected a more reasonable and accountable approach to resolving the issue. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet that expectation.
