I recently had a disappointing experience purchasing from James Lane.
I completed an online order and paid in full after entering my delivery details, with no clear indication that additional freight charges would apply. After the purchase, I was contacted and asked to pay a further $304 for delivery, which was unexpected and not transparently disclosed during checkout.
I was also later informed that the item is not currently in stock and would need to be pre-ordered, with an estimated arrival months away. At the time of purchase, the product appeared available, and this delay was not communicated.
Overall, this experience felt misleading in terms of both total pricing and stock availability

We went to James Lane, on Saturday. We went to the Alexandria store. Mark was the most amazing salesperson, he answered every question, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him, if needing to buy a new sofa.

Stacey was very friendly and knowledgeable, she stepped through the process. The lounge was also amazing and great colour choices

From the moment of walking in to the show room and meeting Will, the service, communication and support from order through delivery to has been absolutely exceptional. And the actual product is such high quality - we love, love, love. Thank you!

Quick delivery. James Lane had the item i wanted in stock so delivery was only a week after purchase

Not an easy job but the boys did it with no worries and were understanding and made it work. Very happy

I ordered some furniture from James Lane, paid upfront in full including the cost of shipping to Cairns in Queensland.
Despite numerous emails, the order has not been delivered and apparently been mislaid by James Lane or their appointed shipping agent. James Lane service & communication is terrible, totally unreliable ,they don’t care about their customers.

Staff were so helpful and offered ideas regarding decorating that were most useful. Additionally they did not recommend the most expensive item but guided us on the most suitable pieces.
We are both very happy with the service we received. Thank you

Fabulous. Couch was ready way earlier than expected. Communication and updates were flawless

The two times we have bought pillows from them at 2 different stores and both times they had no bags. This was such a horrible experience having to carry 4 large pillows by hand. They also didn’t know how to wrap a vase that we bought and we had to ask them and explain to them how to do it.

My dealings were with Stacey! She was beyond helpful , went out of her way, lots of laughs and fun! A great experience and I got some beautiful furniture pieces!

My experience with the Helensvale store was amazing - the staff were extremely helpful especially Eduardo who was very knowledgeable in his decorative recommendations/ ideas which helped me a great deal.

Went in store at Alexandria, had a great experience was so easy start to finish, couch will be delivered at the perfect time and store assistant went through all the details super efficiently. Lounge is also perfect, so comfortable

Brilliant customer service

I purchased a Kai sofa and Riley bed from James Lane Fortitude Valley along with some other items. Super happy with everything and the quality of the pieces.

The team at the Fortitude Valley store were really helpful, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish.

I continue to purchase from the Valley store whenever I need anything new. Highly recommend.
