Thousands of exclusively negative reviews... ITVX's response: Restart your router, restart your TV, look over there it's something else's fault.
Take some responsibility, this has been going on for years.
I just wish there was a choice for streaming live sport (Euros). But when there are no standards and no choices (e.g. you can only stream a service if you can prove your service is capable), what will cause a change?!

Trying to watch the football and it's impossible. With the money they make how can this be so crap. 96 percent 1 star reviews has to be a record

So disappointed with ITV hub. Been trying to watch England football on here totally useless If I do finally get in, it starts buffering and kicks me out again. Pathetic

My god how hard can it be with technology to work, starting from beginning all the time no resume and trow adverts in just too push your buttons 😫😤😡

Keeps buffering, impossible to watch anything right through. Surely ITV can sort this out.

Terrible, crashes all the team but audio carries on on another channel. Dreadful.

Total crap. If you turn your telly off and then try to open the app the following day it doesn't open, so I've missed half the football due to this very issue.

The app is utter ass and should be avoided. You have 96% 1 Star reviews ITV, so sort it out.

Useless app. Pop ups, constant changing to different players to watch live tv. Buttons don’t work to full screen it.

I absolutely hate ITV X hub. They should be embarrassed about how badly it glitches. For such a big corporation I find it hard to believe that they can’t invest in this properly so it actually works. I’m getting to the point where I won’t bother watching anything on ITV X anymore because it’s so frustrating how much it glitches. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ITV!!!!

It’s a shame I can’t give this app 0 stars. Trying to find a show which was just broadcast on ITV. Tried to watch live: impossible. Now trying to find it within the app. They seem to want you not to find anything. It’s just dreadful. Like a cat you bought from a man in a pub that turns out to be a rat in some sort of weird jumper.

I pay for my subscription because it would always freeze at the adverts.
Its no better. And we lost the Brilliant Britbox app for this junk!
Today its dumped my continue watching list. And is so ruddy slow I could grow a baby in yhe time it takes to get something streaming

This isn't a recent problem, it has been going on for years.

ITV Hub often:
Is very slow to fire up.
Or refuses to fire up.
(Yes, I am describing it in antiquated 'steam engine' terms as that is what it feels like).
Stops at a certain point in a programme or film and won't play beyond that, if you try to play the same programme later it stops in the same place.
Hangs after ad break and won't continue.
Will not pause. If you press Stop; then Play, it starts at a much earlier point in the programme.
Plays at 'fast forward' speed without sound like an old b&w 'flick'.

It is generally a dysfunctional nightmare.
I thought perhaps it was my Smart TV, but it's the same on other family member's sets.
Obviously from the overall reviews on TrustPilot, it is not fit for purpose and needs a competent IT Consultancy to re-design it from scratch.
It has ad breaks, presumably advertisers are paying to run their ads on this very sub-optimal platform.
ITV receives money for programming from government, this money is from the TV Licence fee pot.
BBC iPlayer is as smooth as silk in comparison. All4 and My5 are also much less glitchy than Hub.
ITV owes it to viewers (licence-fee payers) and its advertisers to improve this catch-up facility. It doesn't need improvement, it needs replacing!

Won’t load anything. Won’t download anything. Won’t play anything even when I have great signal and connection. So frustrating

The worst of the TV apps by far - buffers so you cant even watch programmes. No issues with BBC, 4 or 5 so not my internet

Appalling embarrassment that they are obviously proud of. Why? Do you want us all to pay to watch your programmes? Constant buffering, despite fast internet service, programmes stop every thirty seconds. What a disgrace. You ought to be ashamed of this abysmal service. No way would I ever pay to subscribe to this crap.

Is this app so bad to encourage you to take out a paid subscription?
Can watch programmes until first ad break. The ads don’t play properly, they seem to fast forward of their own free will. Great for advertisers who are paying for the privilege.
After the ad break the programme resumes without any sound & no adjustments bring it back. An utter waste of time & a poor reflection on ITV.

Like the previous posts have said, It’s virtually impossible to download or watch anything online it either crashes or refuses to download

Garbage! Torturous! Time wasting! Platform is flaky.
