Keeping business communication compliant used to feel like something I had to constantly think about. With iPlum’s financial compliance setup, that pressure is mostly gone.
Calls and messages are automatically recorded and stored, which makes things feel more controlled without adding extra work.

After using the iplum Hipaa compliance solution for a while, communication feels much more secure and manageable. On an average day, there are about 20+ conversations, and having encrypted messaging and compliant calls makes a big difference in how comfortable those interactions feel.
One feature that stands out is voicemail transcriptionit saves time when trying to keep up with missed calls during busy hours. It probably cuts message review time in half. Over time, everything just feels more organized and less stressful. It’s not complicated, but it works really well for everyday communication.
I had Iplum for over 5 years.... downhill service
I had Iplum for over 5 years to be the professional set up when customers called. The routing to several numbers behind the scene and customers being able to press numbers for the reason they called helped with routing to correct person. However the service started to decline about a year ago. I placed several trouble tickets about so many spam unknown callers, then calls coming in that had no caller id but dropped before you could even answer. Then missed calls wouldn't show up in the missed call logs. Your minutes will get eaten up by all these unaccounted for calls. They don't ever try to get to the bottom of it. Just respond with cut and paste answers. Finally I got tired of not getting my calls and not feeling like my issues were being treated with any regard for the impact it was having on my small business. When you are starting out a new business you try to keep the cost down and try "off-brand" companies to help you save money. That was truly the biggest mistake I could have made. I made the mistake also by not searching about complaints. This is when I found out that others have had the same negative experiences I have had. I paid them to port the number out. Then I tried several carriers to get the number switched out. They kept responding with generic porting instructions. They never unlocked my number. So when I didn't continue to pay for a service I was trying to port out my number they said they cancelled my number. How you cancel a number I paid you to port out? That is ridiculous in itself.
This is what they wrote after my trouble ticket about number still locked.

They lied. They then wrote I had to pay to reinstate. I contacted customer service about how I felt it was a scam to tell me I have to pay to reinstate my number again and wait two weeks to port out.
I have filed a complaint with BBB and FCC. It is illegal to hold your number hostage. My next step is to contact my credit card company and reporting the fraud they have done by charging me to port a number they refuse to unlock and support the transfer out.
If you are a small start up please look at another option for your precious business number. This company has no accountability. They have only email support. I have requested the zoom call today that they claim they will do for live customer service support. Not holding my breath. I'm so disappointed with Iplum.
Note: Iplum responded to a negative review on this site within hours. However, they still haven't responded to my cseveral trouble tickets requesting a zoom call to get this resolved placed before this complaint. They claim they are trying to help. How when all you have to do is unlock my number. I never cancelled the number you did. That is illogical. I paid for a port out of my number and my number never was unlocked. Instead of blaming me for the lies you've told about you unlocking it. Just do what you need to do to unlock my number and resolve this. Stop with the excuses for poor service. You have several negative reviews with the same complaint. Holding small businesses numbers hostage. You have no integrity and honesty about what you put in writing.
2nd reply: Users read their comments and you will see a history of them deflecting with slandering the customer . Now they are claiming I'm spamming. Never once have they ever written anything to me about this false claim. Five years and now you bring up some slandering claims as to why you have not released a number I paid your fee to release. Stop deflecting with the lies. I will be pursuing this in court with you in Santa Clara per your legal terms. I see your company is not going to release my number. Beware consumers! This will be your nightmare when you're ready to leave them.

You pay around $200 for a number but…
You pay around $200 for a number but they sell that info to every telemarketer they can. Since getting the new number in one day I've had 39 calls and 57 texts and the day isnt even over. I answered one telemarketer who knew my name and company name. It isn't worth it. I cant conduct business with the amount of people calling and texting.

It's truly frustrating when a service you've relied on for years takes a turn for the worse, especially when it impacts something as crucial as communication. This customer, who had been with iPlum since its early days in 2015, initially found it to be an excellent solution for international calls and SMS, appreciating the ability to send and receive messages directly through their iPlum number.
However, over time, the service began to decline significantly. Call quality plummeted, and important calls were frequently missed because the app struggled to connect to the network, often requiring a restart regardless of the internet connection type. Despite numerous attempts to contact support about these issues, including major delays and echoes during calls, they were consistently told that iPlum's network was functioning perfectly.
A particularly irksome change involved the international SMS feature, which was once a key differentiator. This feature was eventually removed, and users were then required to either verify their account or pay an additional monthly fee to use messaging. I felt this was a transparent attempt to extract more money, as the verification wasn't initially mandatory, leading them to abandon the SMS feature entirely.
The final straw came when my numbers were blocked without any prior notification, despite consistent bill payments. When I reached out to support, I was informed that ownership verification was now mandatory, but shockingly, this option was only available to US and Canadian residents. I strongly suspected this was a deliberate move to force them out, likely due to their long-standing, favorable rate.
Determined to leave, I initiated a port-out process to a more "reputable" carrier, paying a $19.99 fee. However, this transition hit a snag when the new carrier required verification via SMS or an OTP call to the now-blocked iPlum number. Repeated attempts to get iPlum support, specifically from a representative named "George," to temporarily reactivate the account for verification were met with unhelpful, short, and passive responses, with George insisting the account was active when it clearly wasn't. I was also very suspicious when I couldn’t find any direct contact information or physical address for iPlum.
Ultimately, I strongly advise against using iPlum for any communication needs, personal or business, citing a complete lack of respect for customer loyalty, regardless of how long one has been with the service. I am relieved to be able to move my number to the new carrier.

iPlum set up is super user friendly. Interface is also straightforward and easy to navigate. Customer services has been prompt and helpful. It's been a great asset as I start my business to not have to worry about HIPPA compliant communications.

blocked my account without a refund
i purchased a number 2 days ago . after few hours of purchase , they blocked from the app (i never made or recveived call with it ) . I have tried reaching out to iplum through a support ticket for either a fix or a refund and they have not responded.
IPlum has been a great tool for my business
I just recently joined IPlum and I am very pleased with the services they offer so far. I am using IPlum for my business and I love getting to keep my personal number private. The app has been very easy to use and I have not had any problems so far. Calls and texts come through great!
