I fell for their slick appeal to find secrets to make travel less expensive. We paid for their rag for 2 years and never learned any of the secrets they alluded to in their ads. Now they claim to hav... Leggi di più

International Living has been invaluable in my search to find overseas locations that may suit me. They provide the basic info to narrow my search and the detailed, in country, advanced knowledge necessary to plan the exploratory trip(s) as well as making the transition easier.
The ultimate retirement resource.
I have found International Living to be a great source of information for those looking to retire abroad. Many of the articles are interesting even if not focussed on the country you are considering. Due to an article in IL I added an area that I hadn't planned on visiting. In the end that's where I purchased my home. The expert advice goes a long way. Can't recommend them enough. Thanks IL
International Living provides me with the most up to date information about different places around the world to consider while traveling and living outside of the US. Their Magazine (International Living) and other items supply me with the knowledge I am seeking.
I have been a member of I/L from almost the beginning---a time when our info about the World arrived on 7-10 mimeographed pages in black and white and stapled together. This was long before I retired or attended any conferences. I told my children that when I retired I would be gone from the U.S. and looking for someplace to live overseas. A month after retirement I was in Belize and then Ecuador. At the time, Cuenca, Ecuador, was the number one place to live in the World for retirees. I've been in Cuenca for eight years now and have attended many I/L Conferences in several countries. I am now looking to southern Portugal (Algarve) or the island of Madeira (Portugal territory many miles southwest of Portugal). I am also interested in Ajijic, Mexico, located on Lake Chapala (the largest lake in Mexico). The draw for the Ajijic area is that I can drive my car and several suitcases down in a couple of days. The Ajijic area has the largest expat population in all of Mexico and, according to them, has the best cllimate in the World. Whatever I decide, I owe it all to I/L and their excellent articles from those in person and on the ground.
I wanted to rely on International Living, but they let me down several times I joined Platinum Circle which is supposed fo include a lifetime subscription to their magazine, but I only got a couple issues, and they never responded to my emails.
Excellent information and advice - esp if you are in the USA. Could use a little more diversity for subscribers in other western countries but still ranks 5 out of 5 in my opinion. Real estate reviews and opportunities through RETA are great. Lots of informed and interesting articles from different corners of the world. I’m learning so much as we ourselves look at new horizons and opportunities to embrace.
Great comprehensive multifaceted resource for anyone contemplating an ex-pat lifestyle.
The single best source for anyone looking to embrace the WORLD as your home. Beyond just retiring which is a focus, but investing, and simply travel and living life LARGE!
I an a Lifetime Member of International Living and have always enjoyed the material immensely! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
I have been a subscriber to International Living magazine for 8 years. The information has been totally invaluable for my husband and I.
We are ‘baby-boomers’ and this magazine is the #1 reason we made the decision to become digital nomads.
We are Australian and are currently in San Miguel De Allende in Mexico.
You will find so much information in International Living to make big decisions like ours much less daunting. It’s our go-to resource for ongoing travel and destination facts, lifestyle and living costs.
I have ben a subscriber of International living for more than 8 years. Over the course of time I have attended seminars on various subjects regarding life abroad, second passports and deep dives into particular countries. I also became a RETA (an International Real Estate Investing advisory service) member as an adjunct to my other upgraded membership service. Through that affiliation I have comfortably exercised purchasing 2 different properties in Panama as well as 1 in Mexico. Every aspect of my affiliation with international Living has been top notch from the beginning.
I look forward to the publications from International Living and have for many years. It's a great organization for anyone that like to travel the worlk.
The best expat publication I have ever read! Plenty of in depth and accurate information, various topics covered and, most important,up to date.
Many years of IL monthly magazine, various daily blogs, several downloads of longer features, couple of free books. All in all, entertaining and informative real-life information. LOTS of beach life, perfect climates, explorations; occasional views of downsides. Big on LONGFORM promotion pieces about their many direct or affiliate services -- endless repetition of lots of details. (Magazine inserts of 8 pages about side hustle workshops.) Online versions bottomless scrolling. Rather minimal production values on website and video announcements. Maybe 70/30: real editorial content / product promos through various channels. Lot of pushing to upgrade, Lifetime etc. My bias > (retiree, low income): more on exploratory travel, less on acquiring property, cut the fluff.
Informative, current, and entertaining. Well written content. I highly recommend!
My wife was not very interested in living overseas. International Living magazine is slowly changing her mind. It’s almost to the point of where rather than if we’ll move overseas.
I subscribed over two years ago and have found each issue worth reading (even about the places I may never visit). The information covers many facets of living overseas that I never considered. I find the articles to be very detailed and helpful. When I do move, I know I will be better prepared with IL's help.
My husband and I have been readers of your publications for several years, and have attended a boot camp held here in the US (boot camps bring all overseas options North Americans might be interested in), and a focused seminar held in Ecuador (provided very detailed information on Ecuador and Colombia). We have met such nice people from all over the US and Canada, all looking to best spend their retirement dollars and “sense.” While International Living is in the business of selling information, they also bring in the other people you may need: lawyers, realtors, insurance brokers, etc. But they can’t emphasize enough to also do your own research. They only want to provide options; we need to do our due diligence. I’d recommend their publications, and especially their in person or now virtual presentations.
I have been getting International Living for more than 15 years. The writing is very informative and about topics of interest to living overseas. I will keep reading all my life.
I have been a subscriber to IL for many years. Some time ago I was teased with a "lifetime" membership, which I purchased. While I have purchased several other lifetime memberships (mostly financial or travel related), IL is the ONLY one that charges an additional annual "handling" fee - all the others were a one-time fee that covers everything I need for the rest of my life. Personally, I think it is shameful.
