If i could give this company zero stars i would. I wish i read the reviews beforehand. Just to be clear, this company do not care about reviews or their customers. I am writing this to warn people NOT to open an account with them. I remitted small amount of money to my IB account as a test 2 weeks ago. Chased up 4 times. Provided all the remittance confirmation and they have lost the money. They provide zero updates each time I call. I threatened to complain to regulators but they simply DO NOT care.

I converted Euro to USD to buy US-stocks. 1 entire day after I converted it Interactive Brokers claimed that the conversion was not finished and there it was handled as I would have buy a stock without having enough funds. That means that Euro was automatically converted to USD but to a REALLY bad conversion rate. To avoid those auto-conversion rates which are basically a scam i was told that I have to manually convert the money which is exactly what I did. It also displayed that I had no more EUR but USD instead lol. The system still handled the situation as I would have no EUR and screwed me over.

Possibly the worst customer support on the planet. Complete over use of Bots and not humans. Extremely frustrating and time wasting company.

Good luck trying to withdraw funds. Will take ages without any clarity or expected timeframes. They hide behind all types of regulations - sanctions, AML and pull whatever stops to prevent customers from taking funds out, especially if it’s a large amount.

I have used IBHK for many years for both personal and business investment accounts.

I have issued a withdrawal request, and it has taken them 7 weeks and still have not processed.

Their coordination between support and compliance team is unacceptable, and extremely slow delays.

It is clear they do not have enough staff and mature processes to support their clients.

Do not recommend using them for your investments.

Im doing a paid tiktok run add about how these scam u on same day options about to go in the money.

They liquidate your options way before closing when there about to go in the money avoid at all costs.

Avoid these scammers . How can you make a right move when they GO IN YOUR ACC AND CLOSE POSITONS ON A SAME DAY EXPIRY CONTRACCT

TIKTOK PAID ADD PENDING TO SHOW THE WORLD.

Extremely bureaucratic processes for transferring money both in and out of their account during which time your money is held by them. Their user interface is also confusing and it is often very difficult to see exactly where your money has gone. Basic questions like "how much was my dividend?" "what FX rate/commission did I get?" "how much WHT was withheld?" or "what were my capital gains/losses?" are all extremely difficult to answer.

EDIT: Interactive Brokers have been sitting on a substantial amount of my money for over a week now after I tried to transfer it into my account and was met with a mountain of bureaucracy that has essentially stopped me from both having the money appear in my IBKR account and also getting it refunded!

The Plattform appears to be messy and overly complicated in comparison with other broker like etrade.

Fees are high with 1$ per trade they got also a percentage structure but for that you need high order volumes.

Recurring investments are burdened with a 1$ or 1% fee structure this on top of the ETF fees makes it so unattractive that you need to use other brokers for that.

FX Currency can’t be trade with a target or limit conversion rate- also normal on other platforms like wise or hsbc.

Overall it’s a higher cost and not userfriendly Plattform. Often to complicated to find things or create orders.

First of all, IBRK website sucks. I seriously recommend you to use Degiro instead. Only reason I have it is because it said I could create an account as an advisor but have the assets on the name of my 7 year old cousin. 4 days in I still haven't figured out how to buy a simple ETF. How can it be so counter-intuitive? Now that I got out of the way.

Not even the chat works (23 minutes in still says "Please wait, you are being transferred).
