Seems to be a scam company

Seems to be a scam company.
I requested a check , and it came up with green ticks indicating it found the callers details, I paid the 50p for the search for it to tell me there is no records found. Thought oh well its just 50p , for £40 to be taken 2 days later. The website has a stupid little banner that says it's a trial.
Shady tactics , and I will be notifying action fraud as this shouldn't be allowed to continue.

Update : they have now processed a refund should see it in 7 days.

Thieves

They took my 50p, provided no information, then tried to take £29 from the same card. Fortunately Barclays thought it was suspicious and declined it. Now their website has gone claiming "Internal server error"

Waste of money

Waste of money
I would have given a zero if it was possible. Please do not use this site. I tried a phone number and it said to download the details you have to subscribe. And after I subscribed I waited till next day and it said they could not find any details on that number. They have taken the subscription amount. I have used cell track for the same purpose and as they could not find the number they have refunded my amount.

I have requested a refund, and it has been refused even though the service has not been provided

I have phoned the company & cancelled but we will see if they take money .. now going to ring bank & then find where we complain about this fraudulent website.
Doesn’t bring up anything at all & comes up as money going to France
Please please don’t use this service as you get no info at all

This website is absolutely crap

This website is absolutely crap. It wants money from you, and yet I inserted five or six numbers, and nothing found for these of these spam callers, that I'm getting sick of and wanted to write to them. Don't even sign up for the £0.50 trial, it's not worth it because this company finds you nothing.

Take care folks!

Same as all the others 50p taken then £29.90 "subscription" taken from my credit card. Still investigating my options - perhaps a public-spirited lawyer can check out whether their contract is legal.
However the contact address is Ancestor Tree Ltd in Cork. This is probably a virtual address for mail forwarding etc. The sole director of this company is Diarmuid Scollard, 63 Gainsborough Avenue, Malahide, Co Dublin, K36 NN82.
Perhaps Mr Scollard would like to let us all know the fantastic benefits his company has to offer.
UPDATED REVIEW AMENDMENT FOLLOWS:-

So here's a challenge to the people who claim to be able to find the address from any phone number:-

SCAM SCAM SCAM !!
Took my £0.50 for 48 hours access. No service or search result which was accurate was provided by Info-Record.
Despite numerous attempts to get my money back, no luck. They're just ripping people off, and £0.50 might not seem much, but to do this on a large scale means they make a lot of money.
Why are these companies allowed to continue to trade ? DO NOT USE THEM.

Strange how I get a response after posting this review on Trustpilot, and they will now refund my £0.50 ! I originally received a response saying I WOULD NOT get a refund and to read their terms and conditions !
I cancelled my credit card after dealing with this sham of a company so unlikely I will receive my £0.50. However, I'd rather lose that, than give them any more of my details.

You have to open an account and are given 2 free days use. You are then charged £29.20 a month for the privilege.

The money is taken out of you bank account by
NFO-PERSO COM LEVALLOIS PER GB
They don’t advise you when a payment is due to be debited to your account or the amount as all reputable companies do. This is not illegal but to me is bad practice.

You can ask Info Records to close your account -which they will do. Asking NFO-PERSO COM LEVALLOIS PER GB
to refund money because you did not want the service results in an e-mail informing you that you agreed to the terms & conditions when opening the account. No refunds will be made.

This unfortunately for me is correct so I have lost 4 months payments for a service I inadvertently did not want.

In future I will always check on TRUST PIlOT before using a new company.

Data-app.net, myonlinesearch.co, both fraudulent scammers

This number belongs to a company called data-app.net. Like many other reviewers I have been caught out with the 50p scam and in the process of sorting this with my bank. It is without doubt a fraud. I have called the number and the message is in French.the company website looks very authentic, but it is not registered with Companies House and neither is myonlinesearch.co

DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I wish I could give 0 star. These people are BIG SCAMMERS!!! They took £61.30 from me unauthorised!!! Did a search on 29/12/2022 with no result found, I got charged £0.50 three times. Apparently, I signed up for a subscription, I called them to cancel the subscription, which was confirmed to be cancelled on 26/01/2023 with a promise to refund the payments which I never received. Only for me to check my notifications today and realise they’ve collected another £29.90 twice from the same card few days back. I‘ve just rung them and the lady said she could not locate any payment from my card and she’d escalate to the tech team! Fingers crossed!!! In the meantime, I have cancelled my bank card and also notified them the transaction was unauthorised hoping that would stop them from taking future payment!!!

An obvious scam so avoid!

What is immediately suspicious is that the contract you are signing up to is in very faded print suggesting a deliberate fraud. My bank immediately suspended my account after I paid the 50p for the first 24 hrs. I tried 10 + times for the address of a rogue roofer who is near me and I have several of his contact details but not his address. Not a single time did I get a hit so I quickly cancelled it.

It is a scam

I ticked the box for Terms & Conditions (which you have to) for a 50p search. I then go charged £29.90 every month until I spotted it (2 months later) and stopped it. It is a scam. If you look at the only five star reviews, you'll see they are all negative comments - the five stars are mistakes. Steer clear - danger!

SCAM

I wanted one record (finding details for a family tree) I didn't want to sign up, it popped up offering that I could purchase one for 50p, I didn't read the small print so my fault but it wasn't very clear, the 50p is actually a 2 day trial and they then took £29.90 out 2 days later, I asked for a refund and was told I should of read the small print so no. I have cancelled the subscription fortunately but am still out of pocket by £29.90 as I cancelled a day late. The email I recieved to confirm my 50p order didn't mention anything about a subscription either. Plus for the 50p I was told no record was found anyway.

***This is a scam*** they don't give you and access to info DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE when I contacted them through email about why the money was taken but no info was available for access they didn't try and rectify the issue to give me the access I'd payed for they just replied saying we have cancelled your subscription and avoided speaking about the issue. After searching this websites is became apparent that its known for its scamming.

ESCROQUERIE !!!

Cette société fait miroiter qu l'on peut obtenir les coordonnées d'un abonné téléphonique pour 0,50 euros, or elle prélève 0,50 euros sans pouvoir fournir de renseignement.
Ensuite, deux jours plus tard elle prélève sans autorisation 29,90 euros!
Et pas possible de bloquer les futurs prélèvements mensuels car en introduisant mes données de courriel, cette société prétend que je suis inconnu chez elle, alors qu'elle pompe de l'argent de ma carte bancaire visa! Ce sont des escrocs. Joseph THEATE, expert judiciaire retraité à B-6940 BARVAUX.

Info Record do not use

Searched for an address but website said nothing found so no charge. So expecting refund. Thought nothing more about it till charged £29.90 2 days latter. If you read T&C say this will happen 2 days later.
Stating the following got an email promising refund of £29.90 in 7 working days - we will see
"As well you know this does not override present consumer legislation,
"Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, I have the full right to cancel a purchased online service without giving any explanation within the 14 day cooling-off period.
Under the above Regulations, I would like to cancel the contract and get a refund."
I, quoting the website saying "no charge" for unsuccessful find asking for 50p refund as well. If you do use it make a screenshot of this!
Save yourself some grief- Do not use!!!!

OMG, Deffo a SCAM!

OMG, if only I’d looked this company up first.
I searched for a family members name, paid 50p for this service and it came back with no results. Two days later the company Info-Record.com took £29.50 from my account. I phoned them and they said that if I'd paid the 50p, then I'd agreed to their monthly subscription, but that she was happy to cancel the subscription. I wasn’t aware that I’d signed up for anything and I'd not received an email confirming such a subscription otherwise I'd have been on to it sooner. The lady (French accent) confirmed she had cancelled my subscription. I asked about a refund of the £29.90 but was told they would not be able to refund me.
I mentioned that I was recording the conversation and that I believed that under the Consumer Rights Act, I could cancel within 14 days. The lady I spoke to said "No, you only have 2 days. Why didn't you cancel it within the two days?" I said I wasn't aware that I'd subscribed to anything and had only just seen that they had taken the payment from my account. I said again that I was pretty sure that I legally had 14 days to cancel a contract. I also mentioned that I'd seen the Reviews of this Company being a Scam. All of a sudden, the lady said she'd put me through to a manager which really surprised me as there appeared to be absolutely no sign of me getting a refund, yet all of a sudden, she reiterated that I wasn't aware of this transaction and in this case, she would speak to the manager in the Billing Dept. I was put on hold for a few seconds, then she came back and said the Billing Dept has authorised the refund of £29.90 which I'll receive in 7 working days. I didn't believe her for a minute. I then phoned the bank and cancelled all future monthly payments which the Bank confirmed were indeed in their system. They cancelled these and said that if I don't receive a refund within 14days of the transaction, then to call them back and they'll raise a dispute to claim it back. I've also had (surprisingly) an email from Info-Record.com confirming my refund will be paid in 7 working days . . . We'll see!
I truly believe they changed their mind about a refund due to me recording the conversation and stating the consumer rights act.
