10/10 experience with the I’m a Chef Too! Barbie cookie kit! My four-year-old daughter absolutely loved the entire process from start to finish. The ingredients were prepackaged and premeasured, which made it easy enough that she could do almost everything on her own with just a little help.
She started by coloring the included design sheet to create dress ideas, which was such a fun creative touch. Then she got to bake and decorate the cookie dresses to put on the Barbie dolls. It was the perfect mix of arts, crafts, and baking, and it kept her engaged the whole time.
Highly recommend for a fun activity and confidence-building experience for little kids who love Barbie and baking!

Overall I love "I'm the chef too". The bonding that my son and I experience over this and his excitement is priceless. Yes there is an auto renew feature for subscriptions just like anything else (Hulu, netflix) if your on top of it you can remember to cancel before the charges. Some kits are better than others, yes sometimes you may need to have some ingredients (like water on hand), but overall I have no complaints.
Activities are fine, but subscription model is deceptive
The activities were fine and my kid enjoyed them, but I signed up for a one-time 6 month subscription and they auto-renewed the subscription. They said they sent a renewal reminder but because I signed up for a one-time subscription, I never thought to even look for a renewal email. I found out they charged me because they sent an email saying the next box is coming. They gave me a 50% refund but won’t give me a full refund. I feel this is extremely deceptive. Customer service tried to tell me that it is clearly written on their website, but I am pretty sure when I signed up through their Facebook ad that it made it seem like it was a one time subscription. I am also seeing others here who are saying the same thing so it’s not just me.

They’ve become something we truly look forward to doing together — both our kids and we love them, and we highly recommend them! 😊

I ordered just the Holiday Pack of 3…
I ordered just the Holiday Pack of 3 kits for the months of October, November, December. They were a gift for my neighbor’s granddaughter. I did not sign up for anything else yet, they billed me $113. And sent a kit in January. I contacted them but they claim that once you sign up you are a “subscriber” and will be billed. I told them I absolutely did not sign up for anything other than the three kits I originally did. I returned/refused the January kit and demanded again(3x) a refund. My next move is the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. SCAM ARTIST.

My subscription was auto renewed without my knowledge. I was denied refund and am very upset. These kits are also far too complex for children so I have now been charged $200 without my consent for an item we do not want. Do not trust this company
They will renew your purchase and charge your card again
The boxes are hit or miss on quality. Packing wasn't well planned and items came damaged. They mislead customers in how they sell a 1, 3 or 6 month bundle. It is not communicated that they will automatically renew the bundle again (at regular price if you initially bought it on sale). I reached out to cancel and request a refund when I saw I was charged $100+ for a subscription I had not knowingly signed up for. In spite of not having yet sent anything from this new order, they refuse to refund me any of it. I would not do business with them again. I would not recommend them to anyone as I feel their business practices are deceptive and they really don't care about customer service.

This is a scam. They billed me but did not send me the kit. Took too long as the holidays past then refused to reimburse me.
Skip I’m the chef too
We unfortunately did the 1 year subscription. We have received the Halloween the Thanksgiving and as of December 17, we are still waiting for the Christmas box to come. Halloween came AFTER the holiday when it was ordered in September. And the Thanksgiving came 3 days before the holiday and the little tin pans for the pies were all smashed up and damaged. Every time you reach out to the company, they blame the delays on the shipping partner they use, but if they’ve had this many complaints about their shipping partner why haven’t they switched companies? They never offer a solution or bonus or refund, jst blame the shipper.
I would definitely pass this one up and look for something with better reviews it’s a great idea but busy parents can’t be getting the boxes like one to two days before or after the holiday, which is ridiculous. We were supposed to make which cauldrons in November after Halloween???
This one is a miss when it could be a hit with a bit more effort from customer service and shipping.
fun and tasty
We’ve had such a great experience and so much fun with the monthly kits! Each one comes with everything you need (except the refrigerated ingredients), and they’re the perfect level for my 2nd grader to do mostly on her own while my toddler joins in with a little help. We’re excited to try the Elf on the Shelf kit next! The activities are creative, engaging, and everything tastes delicious too!
Stay away it’s a rip off
Stay away.. Themed month boxes that come the month after.. Shipping is horrible.. The boxes don’t include everything, be ready to go to the store to buy half the ingredients.

I. placed an order for a 6 month subscription in early September, know it would ship during the first 2 weeks of October. I got a shipment notification saying it was on it's way on October 2. According to their tracking, it's been in Texas, Nevada and now California, and it hasn't moved in 4 days (in SoCal). Never got the included apron, either. Today I get an email telling my November box is processing. REALLY?!?! Don't use them!

They don’t give a date you’re going to be charged, either. Customer service agent claimed I was notified of the upcoming charge. Searched my email box, I was NOT notified. They refuse to work with me, directed my to FAQ’s regarding their policy on refunds. I contacted them them the same day I was charged for a November delivery. They dug in their heels on policy vs providing good customer service. I won’t be ordering from them ever again.

I kept on seeing advertisements for this company on social media and decided to look further into it. I saw the negative feedback which almost deterred me however we did a 6 month subscription just to try it and I am so happy I did. My 3 and 7 year old absolutely love the kits and look forward to it every month. It is a fun and engaging activity for us and actually tastes delicious. Our favorite kits have been the fudge fossils and smores, we also tried a Barbie kit that was fun too. I can see why customers are upset about transit times and the renewal process, however if you read all of the details when you order it explains that the subscriptions take a few weeks to ship and it also explains that you will be auto renewed if you do not cancel before. I have not had to reach out to customer service yet for any issues but so far we are very happy and will likely continue with the upcoming renewal. I think if you read all of the details and understand what you are signing up for than it is a wonderful experience.

I wanted to sign up 6 months and that's it but they try and rope you into buying more. Packages were ALWAYS late, I'd have to email over and over and over. Boxes arrived beat up and some of the contents unusable. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. If you like waiting a week or more for your concerns answered then by all means have at it. I would never purchase from this company again.
Disappointing experience - Buyer beware
I had high hopes for I’m The Chef Too — the concept is fantastic and my kids were excited. But the experience has been frustrating from the start. There were multiple shipping delays, and even after acknowledging my address change, they shipped to the wrong location. They promised replacements that never arrived, and I waited over two months for one box.
When I asked to cancel and get a refund, they agreed — but then sent another shipping notice days later. Communication is incredibly slow (weeks between replies), and they repeatedly blamed their shipping carrier, yet the issues continue.
This has been a waste of time and money, and sadly, I can’t recommend the subscription.
