Our loss adjuster, Michael, was very professional and provided clear communication from the onset.
A very knowledgeable and capable individual, Michael visited our site on several occasions, and provided detailed risk management reports for insurers.
The claim was ultimately settled in quick time, with minimal complications, as a result of Michael's attention to detail and dedication.

Glenn and Sue were very professional throughout and helped me win my claim against Zurich insurance for a bathroom leak.
They arranged everything and kept me updated throughout.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Glenn and Sue at Independent Loss Adjusters following a challenging insurance claim, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. From the very beginning, they demonstrated exceptional professionalism, in-depth industry knowledge, and genuine care for my situation.

I cannot recommend Michael and his team highly enough. From the outset I was impressed with their knowledge, transparency and what appeared to be a genuine motivation and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for their clients.
I sought the support of ILA to help with my elderly mother's insurance claim in respect of a water escape causing significant damage to her bathroom and kitchen rendering her home uninhabitable for a considerable period of time. Following my efforts to manage the insurers protracted process, those various obstacles presented and insulting settlement offer it was clear that I needed support from the team at ILA.
Glenn was allocated our case at which point I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders; he assumed responsibility for all communications and negotiations with the insurers, keeping me informed at of progress being made at each stage, with the support of Sue; he was polite, professional and compassionate in his interactions with myself whilst setting clear expectations of potential outcomes. I am pleased to say that a significantly increased settlement was agreed and all works were successfully completed and mum is now settled back in her home.
I cannot thank the team at ILA enough and would highly recommend them to those needing assistance with the complex world of insurance.

We experienced a house fire in August 2024 which completely gutted the property. I wasn’t sure if I really needed or wanted my own Loss Adjuster, the insurance company confirmed I’d have my own appointed by them. I didn't feel comfortable with the idea the insurance company would be marking their own homework and initially called ILA (and others) the day after the fire for some advice. ILA certainly presented themselves as the most professional of all the companies I spoke with and
24 hours later they’d provided Harvey and a colleague with 360 degree photography camera (this would prove a game changer in the upcoming claim).

All dealings with ILA were fantastic, timely, compassionate and steadfast in fighting for your rights, above those of the Insurance Companies. I dread to think how badly the outcome could have been had I stuck with the insurance companies own Loss Adjuster. Chris and Emma progressed the claim throughout, and ensured our contents claim was settled to the level of cover we’d purchased, the room mapping photography proved instrumental when the insurance company started to play the inevitable games that they play.
If I could offer advice to anyone going through such traumatic events as a house fire. Please look to protect your own interests and employ your own loss adjuster. ILA’s fees were a sound investment when I consider what they managed to recoup via my buildings and contents claim.
I hope to never need the services of a Loss Adjuster again, but if circumstances occur, I’d make Chris and ILA my first call.

After our genuine insurance claim was declined and following a failed appeal, we were directed to Chris at ILA to act on our behalf. Chris took a genuine interest in our case and verified all the facts before successfully overturning the insurer’s rejection. Even after the insurer had accepted our claim, Chris continued on our behalf and ultimately successfully managed to recoup both our repair costs and consequential losses. I honestly can’t thank Independent Loss Adjusters enough. After my builder left the job half done I didn’t know what to do. The credit card company I called didn’t really know how to deal with it either, they actually told me to try and find someone independent who could file the claim properly, that’s how I ended up finding ILA.

From the first call they just knew what they were doing. They looked through everything I had, explained it all in a way I could understand and took over sorting it out. They were easy to talk to, always kept me updated and nothing ever felt like too much trouble, no matter how many questions I had haha.

In the end I got my money back and help getting the work finished which I never thought would happen. Just really genuine people who actually care and know what they’re doing. If you’re stuck or don’t know where to turn I’d definitely recommend them. 5 stars all day.

We had a very complex insurance claim which Michael and team worked tirelessly to resolve. This was our first claim in over 30 years of trading so we had zero experience in dealing with insurance companies and we would have been lost without them. Hopefully we will never have to use them again but if we do we know that we are in safe hands!

Just a short ( ish ) review to say the longest and biggest thank you to Chris Thompson for all he has done for my Mum, Veronica.

My Dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in September last year.
Just after our first Christmas without him Mum discovered a leak under her shower. All the pipework in Mum’s bungalow is underneath concrete floors so it had been leaking for quite a while without her knowing. The leak had spread from her bathroom to her lounge hall, kitchen, a bedroom and two ancillary rooms. The only sign we had of a leak was a stain on a cream carpet.

Mum is 84 years old , has been married for 63 years and this was just another blow to her emotional health.

I started the claim process off by myself but soon realised that I didn’t have the emotional capacity to deal with it. Both of us were still grieving.

And then we found Chris Thompson at ILA. What a relief. He took everything on with a smile , compassion and confidence. He kept in touch with us all the way through by phone, email and two home visits.
His involvement sped things up dramatically - after numerous unsuccessful phone calls to the insurers and loss adjuster regarding de humidifier support , one call from Chris and four arrived the next day. This is just one example of so many, at how fast and smart these professionals can be at making things happen.

Because of its complexity, and delays from the insurers at the outset, it has taken nearly six months to settle our claim, but Chris has done it. We are delighted and immensely grateful
His expertise was invaluable in terms of negotiating with our Loss Adjuster. Professional to Professional is definitely the way to go.
Chris’s attention to detail and keen eye for covering even the smallest of details was great - highlighting things that we would never have considered.

We are now in the process of reinstating Mums home. Another journey but at least we can handle this one.

Chris has a lovely warm personality and is so easy to get along with . Nothing was ever too much trouble for him.

I would recommend you and your team to any one. If people think by paying Insurance companies for a policy and that they are covered and that all will be sorted out, Think again they will do anything and everything to worm their way out not to pay you and use underhanded tactics and go so far as to lie to you. We had an extremely difficult time with our insurance company who tried every tactic not to pay us the required amount to sort the damage about 8% of the actual cost was offered and they looked at every excuse to refuse the total cost and after 18 months I contacted ILS.

Glenn handled our case and took ownership, stress was taken from us. He worked with the insurance company and was able to break down the excuses they came back with which resulted in the claim being settled fully.
