By the end of the experience, I will say I enjoy working with a team who has crossed the paths you're going to walk maybe times before. Really beats going at it alone.

This company targets inexperienced founders who are excited but do not know normal pricing.
They talk heavily about scaling, investment, networks, and big future potential.
They charge high upfront fees before proving real value.
Much of the actual work is often basic, templated, or outsourced.
The deliverables can be vague, overpriced, and hard to measure.
They can create the impression they will help secure investment, without giving any real guarantee of results.
By the time the client realises the output is underwhelming, a lot of money has already been spent.

Warning sign: if a company is charging thousands mainly for “strategy”, “connections”, or “getting your idea investor-ready”, but cannot clearly show exactly what you will receive, who will do the work, and what success looks like, proceed very carefully.

Hyper have done a fantastic job taking my big vision and shaping it into a focused MVP that addresses a real problem. They were able to distill the core concept and build a practical version that captures the essence of what I was trying to create.

It was great working with Andrew and Connor throughout the process. I’m very happy with the prototype they delivered and excited for the next stage of the journey.

I initially spoke with James Casey-Brown about a different idea. I could not get around to proceeding with that one but James was always there and constantly invited me to workshops on Hyper's Apollo. About 2 months ago I messaged James and told him that I had a second idea that I wanted him to look into. James booked a call with me and we went through the idea together and he very eloquently and professionally gave me feedback on the idea. I was able to then raise the capital needed to go through the Hyper Accelerator program. My team from Hyper Andrew and Connor have been brilliant so far and are helping bring my vision to light. I am anxious, excited and hopeful at the same time for the future of my startup.

I strongly recommend Hyper. Coming in with zero startup or software experience, I worked closely with Robert, Andrew, Connor, and the rest of the team to turn an early idea into something unique and genuinely exciting. The excellerate program is very detailed and the collaboration between the founders and hyper team is inspired. A lot of detail and progress made on our idea making it an enjoyable process without being too rushed.

I had a fantastic experience with the accelerator program. The team were supportive, professional, and really helped bring my vision to life with a strong app design, pitch decks, financial models, website (to name a few resources). The sessions were engaging and Andrei in particular was incredible at guiding us through brainstorming and visualising how our product should look and operate. Highly recommend!

I used Hyper for stage 1 of my startup in order to explore its potential. Hyper were very professional along this stage 1 journey, and helped me solidify my thinking around a SaaS business, potential revenue, branding, and main pages of the App look and flow designed in Figma. If you are looking for help with your startup Hyper are a great option and you won't be disappointed.

So the positives. The response time, communication and professionalism of the members of “my team” were excellent and cannot be faulted. They also have delivered their deliverables as it stated in their documents. I will discuss quality underneath. 

Unfortunately I will stop there. I never write reviews but when you pay 11k for a service that you believe to be completely removed from that price I feel its unfortunately something I need to get off my chest.

The reality is they prey on entrepreneurs like myself who are unsure of what to do and want help. They see Hyper online and see terms like “we act as your co-founder” etc etc. They don’t. One time I tried this when I decided I needed a name change due to legal reasons. I put this into the slack channel and asked “my team” what they thought. What did I get? One tells me that it’s not really their realm of expertise and the other just says that its good. My co-founders ladies and gentlemen, who I am told provide critical thinking.

The “ideation” stage. Well if you’re looking for fun creative and engaging ideation sessions think elsewhere. 1 hour. That’s it. When that hour is up (on the dot and not a minute over) your team leave and you’ve basically ironed out nothing and have very little input to analyse. So, don’t expect them to actually help you in this respect.

Next up the deliverables. From the first moment I saw the wireframes they sent me I knew that my money was going to be better used elsewhere. Hyper will fall behind quite dramatically very soon if they don’t pay attention to this and change their structure.

Absolute all of the stuff they sent me could have been created using AI in less than a day and to better quality as I found out. The quality they are providing is just nowhere near good enough.

The logo was the tip of the iceberg for me. They sent me an icon next to a generic font. I wanted an animated crocodile for my logo. They could only make me one with an icon/emoji. Not good enough. I obviously went to chatGPT and made one in 5 minutes which I then sent them saying look at this. Their response was another logo with an icon/emoji. Not good enough and a total joke considering the fee. I said don’t worry about it. But what really annoys me again, is instead of doing all they can do make something better. They literally just use my chatGPT created logo. Absolute joke. 



I cannot fault them for delivering the deliverables. This is partly my fault as well as maybe I didn’t research as much as I should have . However in the onboarding calls, this is what really annoys me and where I have been taken advantage of. I said a lot of times I can code. Instead of actually listening to this and making my experience for 11k price different they basically do nothing. They stick with their streamlined process. In the onboarding I specifically said is there critical analysis of business decisions. “Yea mate, of course”. The reality, absolutely not, Nothing. You are left with no idea of what’s really happening and a bunch of deliverables that aren’t worth a thing.

I kept up going to meetings and zooms hoping that something would come that was of any use for me to use. Nope.

Luckily I haven’t waited around for their designs etc because unfortunately I would have lost valuable time. My advice to anyone in a similar position to me at the start with a great idea but feeling lost is do more critical thinking yourself before forking out 11,000 pounds because you don’t know where to start.
