My girl has been doing it for 3 years now, she loves it. I have to say there was a lot of turnover in the coaches. But now it has stabilised and my girl is so happy with her regular coach.

I put my 3 children into hydrokidz at St John Beaumont. 1 child (14) diagnosed with autism and adhd, 1 child (8) waiting on adhd assessment and another child (3) waiting on autism assessment and struggles with new settings and people. I started them in September paying £130 a month for the 3 of them. However my 3 year old is very much left on the side of the pool with absolutely zero attempt from the teachers to get him in or even as little as introducing themselves to any of my children - still to this day I do not know instructors names. I had to sit on the side on the floor getting wet just so my child had someone there as the teacher continued with the lesson. (There is no introduction or explanation of what the lesson will entail, they literally just expect your kids to get in and crack on-not always possible with sen children. While my youngest was sat on the edge (as he’s never actually got in because he does not feel comfortable and the instructor again made zero effort) the instructor put them thin float type armbands on him and he fell in and they came straight off. Lucky I was on the edge of the pool so was able to act straight away. Fast forward to 3/4 months later and my 3 year old has done absolutely nothing in the 3 months but sit on the side. I asked for a refund as he has not used their services nor has anyone even bothered to take time out to help him. I was told no. Point blank no, even though he has not used their services! I then mentioned about my son falling into the water and was called a liar because the instructors never noted it and they always will. Well obviously not. Everyone saw it happen including instructors and other parents. Since that day my son would not even get changed without me putting his inflatable armbands on him because falling in traumatised him. Again he sat on the side. After he fell in he would not even put his legs in from the side. The unprofessional behaviour from this company is bad. I’ve removed all children straight away. I refuse to pay a swimming school that doesn’t even introduce themselves to the children, doesn’t write down when children fall into the water (I was told by mark the apparent manager) that they have to write everything down from the lesson. They hadn’t even wrote down that my youngest never participated in any lessons. I will never recommend this swimming school. They are all for taking your money but soon as u need them to do their job they fail miserably. I’ve paid 3 months for my son to do nothing. Not even get in the water. Money grabbing company who gives zero cares for your children. I only wanted to remove my youngest as id had no problems with my 2 other children apart from different instructors and a different part of the pool every week (which I can see is a regular occurrence after reading the reviews) After reading the rest of the reviews about this company I can see I’m not the only one who thinks this company is a shambles and I have removed all 3 of my children. If you are thinking of putting your child into somewhere for swimming. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HYDROSWIM ST JOHN BEAUMONTS IN OLD WINDSOR. Mark (apparent manager) will ignore you for days, make up that he’s got ur wrong number-even tho he rang the other day about wrong names on the system) and then hang up on you when you question him calling you a liar. Save your money and read the reviews, I wish I did.

I was disgusted to find out from other parents as we were leaving a lesson that there would be no more lessons till September. Given this was the first week of July and I had just paid for a new month's worth of lessons I was extremely unimpressed that the company had not communicated this at all.

In May, my daughter had two lessons due the bank holidays. To then only have one lesson in July and none in August I'm perplexed as to how they can guarantee 33 lessons per year. To have 3 lessons in 3 months and no communication from the company is disgusting. They expect you to carry on paying regardless of how little they provide.

We feel thoroughly let down by this company, avoid at all costs.

Started with a holiday crash course to get daughter started.. online reports unreliable as when booking weekly lessons they booked my daughter into an advance swimmers lesson. It completely knocked her confidence. Swimming lesson martials indicated issues in the office and would be in contact. This didn't happen and I had to phone to cancel.
We negotiated an additional lesson so they could rectify the situation but the damage was done.
Moving her classes happened twice, we gave them a chance but unfortunately their booking system isn't great.
I specifically gave details that daughter couldn't move herself in the water and needed a float, yet she was put in the advanced class twice.
There was no continuity with teachers, changing facilities were in adequate due to dirty floors and showers units which really had seen better days. Also paper signs showing female and male changing rooms had dropped of the door so one session there were dads changing sons in the ladies changing rooms.
Personally think the office staff should refer to online swim reports (if previously had a crash course) to place children in appropriate classes.
If they're newbies they really need to assess the child or listen to the guardian when booking.
We've since moved to a cheaper weekly session and rebuilt my daughters confidence. I'd recommend looking around and not falling for the marketing jargon.

Not happy that my very nervous 4 year old who has no swimming experience was in 1.2 m of water with just a woggle to cling to. She was clearly not confident in the water but was splashed in the face by the teacher and made to cry. The teacher then proceeded to pour water over her head. We won’t be going back.

We recently decided to restart swimming lessons for our 4 year old son after a 2 year break but he really didn’t want to be in the pool without Daddy and it wasn’t looking to be the experience we’d hoped for him.

Hydrokidz swimming instructor Alex was amazing and took time to make our son feel relaxed and ultimately made the experience fun. Alex broke the mindset and surprisingly, our son loved every minute and asked to go back the following day.

We can’t thank Alex and Hydrokidz enough and we’re all looking forward to the next lesson.

I’ve received terrible customer service when I raised the lack of teachers as 2 were missing for a long time. My son has not progressed at all in over a year. The teachers change constantly and have no idea of the child level.
I wanted to cancel due to lack of teachers but they’re making me pay 1 month cancellation even though I’m not receiving the service I already paid for. Terrible

Both our girls go to HydroKidz and are learning to swim. They have both made significant progress in the time that they have been going there - and they both really enjoy their teacher Nicola. She even made a plan for my youngest to stay in the same class as her sister because she refused to swim otherwise. It is much appreciated. Nicola is an amazing teacher and we would highly recommend to any parent with young children learning to swim!

My Son has grown so much in confidence and the teachers are fantastic with the little ones. Would highly recommend to get the kids swimming!
