Hugh Crane are an easy, open and communicative company that are a joy to order cleaning supplies through. Steve and his team are incredibly reliable and always supply fantastic products with great customer service. I cannot recommend highly enough.
A very extraordinary and upsetting experience.
Long story short, bought what I was advised were textured examination gloves. In fairness, that's what it said on the box. Opened them later to find they were not textured, so wrongly packaged. Took them back for swap / refund and was refused on the open box. Pointed out I couldn't know they were the wrong ones until I opened it but got the same answer.
When I stood my ground and said that wasn't acceptable the member of staff became agitated, rapidly turning to aggression, rudeness and insults. He had to be dragged off by 3 other members of staff, only to return soon afterwards to continue ranting where he left off. Had to be dragged away by the same 3 again, still ranting.
The sting in the tail was that I stood there for another minute for someone to come and apologise and see to my problem. Except no-one did, so looks like I was persona non grata.
Absolutely bizarre and unacceptable. Never go there again.
Really great service from everyone I dealt with. They kept me up to date on the delivery schedule and the product was great too.
We have been Hugh Crane customers for years and they have served The Limes in Acle and Linford Court in North Walsham very well. Nice friendly team and great service!
Was recommended to try Brite from Hugh Crane. It's a multi purpose glass and plastic cleaning product. Great for around the house and my home office. Popped in to their showroom in Acle and also picked up some dishwasher tablets while I was there. The guys behind the counter were very helpful and the prices were very reasonable.
