The whole experience was excellent, from the visit to the store in York to home delivery. I was able to chose the right chair for me and kept updated throughout. And finally a shout out to Ian and Paul who were professional and friendly when they delivered my chair today

The staff at the York branch were most helpful in helping us come to a decision on fabric choice as it can be overwhelming.
I would like to thank Ian and Paul who delivered the chair and attached the legs. They phoned us to say they were about twenty minutes away from us and would it be convienient to make the delivery as it was early in the morning. I would have given five stars but we had not been informed if the delivery would be morning or afternoon.

Diana at York was really helpful and knowledgeable when we visited to look at furniture to match the rise and recliner we bought last year, We were offered refreshments and Diana accompanied me round the showroom to look at everything and explained all measurements so we were able to choose what would be right for my partner Jim and would match the chair he already has. Diana was very patient as we did ask a lot of questions and we found her very professional.

Jaqui & John visited us on 5th February for us to decide on what settee to choose. We had scoured the internet for sites that promised all things but were not very explanatory. HSL said that a home visit was possible, so we went ahead with that. It could not have been better Jaqui & John were knowledgable about the product in all categories. They came with chairs to try -brilliant idea. and lots of fabric swatches that could be felt. They were courteous pleasant people with a lovely friendly manner - not in any way 'pushy' and we bought a lovely settee after every question we asked had been .answered in a very satisfactory way. We would recommend them.

My new fireside chair was delivered today by Ian and Paul. They removed my old recliner outside, and installed my new chair. They were polite, efficient and helpful. Thanks guys.

I called the main number from the website to arrange a home visit for my disabled elderly mother as she required two chairs, one to sit in through the day and another to sleep in at night as she prefers not to sleep in a bed. We are in Cumbria and the service I received was amazing. They were extremely helpful, went through the options, were very friendly and polite plus I was informed exactly when the home visit would take place. This took place just before Christmas but nothing was a bother to them.

John and Steph arrived exactly on time and came out with two sample chairs that I had chosen along with the fabric samples. Both were very friendly and when measuring her for the chairs they explained everything to my mother treating her with patience and respect. The quality of the sample chairs were second to none and definitely value for money.

John explained the after care service provided and you could see how much he and Steph enjoyed their job which made feel relaxed and trusted that my mother was in safe hands. They even left a gift of Yorkshire tea and ginger biscuits which was a lovely kind token.

The first chair was delivered before Christmas and was beautiful, the second one is due out soon.

I am disabled myself and will be definitely be using HSL in the future. I would 100% recommend HSL Chairs and found their customer service to be the best I have ever experienced.

I received a courtesy call from Diana at the York Showroom the day before our appointment and she was there to greet us when we arrived. Diana was very helpful and patient with my elderly mum and provided an excellent service.

My delivery was friendly, thorough and quick. Martin and Leon were nice guys, friendly and respectful. The furniture was assembled fast and positioned where I chose.
A very happy experience all round.

Hi Mike and valentine were very good and explained everything and help my 95 year mother with using the chair and help moving the old chair to where the new chair would be and put things back 😊

We were warmly greeted by Mark on entering the York Store and asked whether any assistance was required.
My Mother-in-law knew what she wanted and briefly described it, Mark led us to her perfect Chair except for the colour, again Mark came up trumps and gave her numerous colour options. A deal was done. Thanks Mark.

Alex and his assistant were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Our new sofa was fixed very quickly and efficiently but they did not rush us in any way. We were very pleased with them both and we are very pleased with our sofa.

The shop in York were extremely helpful and we took our time to choose our chair, material and even legs! I got a call to say it was ready for delivery before I was expecting it. Alex, who delivered it kept me informed as to when to expect him and was friendly and efficient in placing the chair. I am very impressed with all the service from everyone we met in the company. Thank you.

For the high price paid I was disappointed that the backup batteries must be replaced after each use - I would have expected rechargeable ones - and there was no provision to tidy the excess cable lengths - simple cable tie would suffice - and the transformer /battery box should attach to the back of the chair and not be left loose on the floor.
No, I suspect there are higher quality armchair suppliers and at more reasonable prices.

2 wonderful people brought the chair, very informative, friendly and I bought the chair.I was told it might be 6-8 weeks until ready. Actually it was just short of 6 weeks.
Delivery was amazing. A 2 hour window for delivery, a phone call at 20 minutes away 18 minutes later arrived.Brilliant all the way. And I love my posture chair!

Paul and Jon delivered my new recliner chair on 7th Oct. They were on time, assembled chair very quickly and explained thoroughly how it worked. They were very polite and friendly and removed all related packaging.
