I was very impressed by the quality of customer service and support given by Christine. Nothing was too much trouble for her whilst my husband and I explored your furniture.
We were given information and time that helped us make our choice following two visits to the shop. We were encouraged to relax on the furniture whilst having tea and biscuits (which we did) and which enabled us to be confident in changing our initial selection for one we are certain is right for us.
After follow up telephone calls requesting further information from Christine we couldn’t wait to place our order.

The process was easy from start to finish, with a good selection and very helpful staff.

We arrived at the store in Orpington on a Sunday afternoon and the assistant was there alone, she gave us her full attention, was sufficient and explained in details answering all our questions, we was probably there a good couple of hours with children in tow, we was made to feel comfortable and the whole experience was relaxed and not stressful at all as I imagine it to be. We ordered an arm chair, sofa and bed in the end. The guidance around what furniture, and height etc was very useful. The kids had drinks and biscuits to occupy them and the assistant went over her scheduled work time and considering it was her anniversary she continues with a smile to help us and did not make us feel a bother. It was a very pleasant shopping experience. For anyone with family with additional needs for comfort and mobility this is the place to go

From the first time in the Orpington store Terri helped us with everything, all was fully explained, with no pressure to buy any anything. We did have old furniture to be removed which was at a cost, but that was fine. The old furniture was collected the day before delivery, although we was told we would receive a text/email with regard to collection, that didn’t happen, the collection team said they don't do that. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be for someone. On the delivery day of our new furniture, we received a phone call, the delivery was 10 mins away was it ok to deliver as they were before time stated in our text, which was perfect. So pleased with our furniture, delivery team, excellent customer service very pleased would recommend 100%. Thank you.

Visited the Orpington store in January looking for an office chair. Christine was most helpful in discussing my needs & in particular the choice of covering & colour which it turns out was perfect. No hard sell just using good listening skills to ensure that what I was looking for would be satisfied. Came away very happy with the service I received with everything clearly explained. Communication about date & time of delivery was within promised timescales & the chair arrived this morning bang on time. Even the delivery guys were cheerful & obliging! I am very happy with the chair & how comfortable it is. Such a positive experience with HSL. They raise the bar in customer service to a level that others would do well to emulate.

We were a bit late getting to the shop due to traffic delays. Christine, the sales assistant was very understanding and was prepared to hang around past closing time. She was very helpful and informative making recommendations to get the most suitable recliner for my husband.
Thank you Christine for your patience and we look forward to enjoying many years with our new riser recliner.
