Excellent customer service, always very polite and helpful

I was looking at adjustable bed at your Hendon store.
Product was very good - so I ordered bed, headboard, mattress.
I had £300 voucher.
Invoicing system very confusing.

Pricing on invoice did not match brochure pricing - considerably higher. Shop did not apply £300 voucher and did not deduct VAT from mattress despite brochure being very clear that VAT did not apply to mattress if bought at same time as bed.

When queried next day - manager could not explain discrepancies.

I contacted customer services - they agreed that shop had got prices wrong (or system had made errors) System should automatically exclude VAT when bed and mattress ordered at same time.

I ordered items on Monday pm at Hendon and contacted customer services on Wednesday am. Without satisfactory resolution - I cancelled order. Initially customer services said I was out of time. I knew I was not as Wednesday was less than 48 hrs after Monday pm. They agreed and order was cancelled.

Shop could have suggested that I purchase mattress protector and fabric cleaner - which I would have done if offered.

Overall disappointing.

I will now get pricing by phone - it will be an interesting comparison.

I do not understand why computer generated invoice pricing does not match current brochure pricing.

Product is very good - administration/invoicing poor.

Demonstration chair brought to my home very knowledgeable lady pointed out all the various aspects of the chair, I put in an order 4 days later. There was no sales pressure at any time.

My wife and I visited the Hendon branch of HSL. We received excellent service from Edyta from the moment we arrived to the moment we left nearly two hours later. We tried quite a few armchairs. She was keen to give objective advice based on our needs, rather than trying to push a sale.

Great and varied numbers of chairs. Sales assistant helpful without being pushy. I was able to find a chair i liked. I now have a 3 months wait for my chair which I am ok with.

Megan was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all our concerns.

Jason and Ashley delivered my new riser chair today and were a delight - arrived at the alloted time, set me up, checked all was good and I was away - no more struggling to stand.
Have to also give praise to the services of Hamza at the Hendon showroom - he was fabulous: no pushy sales just let me ask questions and make up my mind in my own time!

I received a warm welcome on arrival, staff were attentive and helpful throughout the whole buying experience.

An excellent shopping experience at HSL Hendon. Hamza & Monalisa were welcoming & knowledgeable about the fireside chair we'd come in to look at. Very relaxed but professional approach, with no pressure to buy ( though we did! ) The chairs I tried out were all very supportive & it was good to have a choice of cushions. Looking forward to receiving our chair in due course & would highly recommend the service at HSL.

The gentleman who did the house visit was very patient and considerate whilst dealing with the elderly customer.
Not had delivery of the product yet so cannot comment on it as yet but sincerely hope it will be totally satisfactory

I was shown and sat in practically all the petite size high-rise armchairs. Hamza was extremely patient.

We had excellent service from the assistant and undiluted attention as we were the only customers there at that moment. I was able to "try" many chairs and to operate them and hopefully have made the right decision in selecting the chair which I think will meet my requirements.

We recently bought two chairs and a sofa from HSL in Hendon for my mum, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more highly.

From the very beginning, the team showed exceptional understanding of what really matters, especially when choosing furniture for older customers. There was no pressure at all, just genuine patience, thoughtful advice, and a real effort to make sure everything was comfortable, practical, and right for her.

A very special thank you to Ali, who was outstanding throughout. He was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, and really took the time to understand my mum’s needs. His calm manner and great sense of humour made the whole experience not only easy but actually enjoyable,which is quite rare when making these kinds of decisions.

The quality of the furniture is excellent solid, beautifully made, and most importantly, comfortable. You can really feel the difference compared to standard high-street options.

All in all, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you, HSL Hendon—and especially Ali—we are very happy (and very comfortable!) customers.

The comfort is just great. We should have bought it years ago! The staff were also great!

Rep who came to the house was kind and patient with the elderly resident.
Samples of the choosen fabric were not available, rep had to keep phoning people to check facts.
The chair brought was useful as was the right size.

We visited the Hendon shop and Hamza was excellent he was not too pushy and left us to browse stepping in at the right moment.

Three weeks ago I visited the Hendon branch and received excellent service from Ali. Last week he visited our home with two differently sized chairs, and he was very patient as we finalised our choices of fabric and colours. I recommend HSL for their expert knowledge and personalised service. We look forward to the delivery of 2 chairs and a sofa, and feel reassured that we have chosen a great company. Thank you, Ali

Upon our arrival, my mother & I were warmly greeted by our client consultant Megan at our local branch in Hendon/London on 21st January 2026. We would like to thank Megan for her professionalism, she listened attentively to our needs, ensured we were able to sample the chairs we ticked in our catalog, we originally came in mind to buy a 2 seater recliner for my mother, however to our surprise we ended up buying a beautiful Helmsley Chair, accompanied with a Buckingham Chair, alongside a Queen Anne Footstool. My mother is so thrilled with her purchase and excited for the arrival of all 3 furniture. Thank you Megan, we really appreciate your knowledge and recommendation, and giving us the time needed as this was important for mum to get it right, and with your help we certainly did. I hope management sees our review of our experience as it well exceeded our expectations.
