Getting a chair was important, and quickly. After telephoning the number seen in an advert on the back of the Radio Times (!), everything swung into action smoothly and pleasantly. Thank you to everyone, but especially Billy and Debbie and Liz who were helpfulness and kindness personified and sorted me out a chair quickly and with laughter along the way. You're the best!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would!!
One our chairs arrived with a fault, the mechanism worked faster on one side than the other. This caused a very noticeable and uncomfortable rocking motion when raising and lowering the leg rest.
We reported the fault and an engineer was sent out. The engineer confirmed the mechanism was working faster at one side than the other. In the engineers report to HSL said it was “within industry standards” meaning they were not prepared to look into the matter further.
We voiced our displeasure with the service and product but the customer aftercare was nonexistent! They said we could get a second opinion at cost to ourselves but offered no other solutions.
HSL’s terms and conditions state that if you are not happy no matter how small the issue, to let them know and they will do their best to resolve it. There was none of that here. It feels very much like we have your money so it is no longer HSL’s responsibility.
At NO POINT was it explained to us that the chairs could arrive with a fault and it could be deemed as “with industry standards”.
We are now left with a faulty chair. There are serious concerns that this will cause further damage/strain on other parts of the chair and we will have to replace it sooner rather than later.

My experience with HSL was so easy the lady found a chair for me within about 5min I didn't realise that my chair would be fitted to my height and width to fit me she was really professional and found me a chair to suit myself making sure it was comfortable I would recommend HSL to anyone

Staff in showroom was very helpful explained all about different chairs and sofas . Showed me all different colours and fabrics. Debbie from Dewsbury store . Delivery men Ian and Paul very good at there job new exactly what they were doing . Explained all about recliner remote .

Had my new riser recliner delivered this morning by Ian and Paul. They phoned me to advise me when they were on the way and were friendly when they arrived. They moved my old riser recliner across the room, and even hoovered under the chair before taking time to position my new chair. They ensured that I was happy with the chair and their work before leaving. I would highly recommend them.

I brought my 89 year old mum to the Dewsbury store today. I can honestly say she was given the best service you could wish for . The people that looked after her were Sarah, Diane,Jade and Billy. She had coffee and biscuits and sat in the chair which fit her best for over 2 hours. There was no pressure sale and she said on the way home after purchasing a Super Petite Riser Recliner she had a lovely afternoon out and was treated like a VIP. So thank you all. Her life will be so much easier and comfier. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent service and chair arrived on time.both drivers Paul and Jon acted professionally and helpful and it made my day. it is a beautiful chair and will be recommending HSL to all my friends

DEWSBURY STORE From walking through the door we were greeted warmly and doors held open for my mum in a wheelchair.
We were offered hot drinks and a delightful plate of biscuits also appeared which suited my Brother no end!
Our Sales Advisor was a lady called Diane, right from the offset she was friendly and extremely knowledgeable in the riser/recline chairs that our Mum was looking for
My mum was assessed for the correct width and recline of the chair, Diane didn’t rush my mum with her decision and was super helpful bringing lots of swatches of material for my mum to choose from.
There was no hard sell whatsoever and my mum left extremely happy with her order, unfortunately 6-8wks delivery time but that’s the same for any new upholstery items
All in all a great experience and would definately go back !!

From stepping through the door of the showroom I was impressed. The lady who helped me with my order was so friendly and helpful without being pushy. She was knowledgeable about the range and I found just what I was looking for.

Ian & Paul were terrific, friendly, professional and efficient. They are a credit to HLS.

We had a pretty good idea of which sofa we wanted. Debs and Sarah at your Dewsbury branch were really helpful and managed to help us decide between our two favourites, finally deciding on the Ascot three seater double power recliner. Delivery today by Danny and Danny. Polite courteous and quick. Everything accomplished without issue. Very happy, thank you again. Happy to recommend your company and products. Great guys delivered my chair , they set it up in the room that I wanted it in. Nothing was too much trouble. On time and delivered with care and courtesy.

Debbie and Bill from the Dewsbury store did a home visit for my elderly mother as she is unable to get out to visit a showroom. They were friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to help Mum choose the sofas she wanted and answering any questions we had. We had previously called in the Guiseley store on Mum’s behalf where the staff were also very helpful. We were never rushed or put under any pressure to buy.

Craig and Danny who delivered our chair were very professional ,friendly and on time.
