It's very sad to inform you that the telecasting of mounam sammatham 2 in hotstar have been stopped. It is found that some error has been occurred while playing this serial. There are many people watching this serial during this quarantine period. So This makes very difficulty for all of them. So we kindly request you to post mounam sammatham 2 again on hotstar as soon as possible. I hope you'll fix this problem soon.

I signup without reading review now I am facing same problem people mention on earlier review and fighting to get refund by cancelling subscription.Everytime you call they give you lollypop to suck.
Canceling Hotstar and they are giving me grief for refund.
As there is no cricket for the foreseeable future I informed them that I am canceling and asked for refund for the proportionate amount till Feb 2021. They are trying to tell me that last date for getting refund has passed. Nobody foresaw that Caronavirus will hit all sports worldwide. I agree with earlier posters, this is an unethical company. I will be fighting them to obtain proportionate refund via my credit card company and social media. If others are in the same boat as me, please post to all social media forums.

Hotstar Steals Money from Customer
We got annual membership from Hotstar, as I wanted to cut down on the TV addiction and wanted my kids to focus on studies for their crucial next year on academics. I cancelled my subscription, and was looking for a refund and it didn't happen. I called their customer support but they are reluctant to refund my money for the next 8 months that I'm not intending to watch. He said we can give you a $5 back as there is a promo going on. They just steal money, no easy refund policy and make us feel as if we are cheating them for discontinuing the service. Very poor customer orientation.
Paid Service dead on arrival and no online help.
Hotstar has no provisions, even as short clips, to view or any free trial period provisioning to experience what the quality of the contents is like before you order the paid service. Your only option is to sign up with the full subscription. I signed up and paid for the subscription. Upon logging-in, none of the contents URL worked. Multiple attempts, even computer restart, did not make any difference. No contact information on website or even in the acknowledgement of paid service. You have to search FAQ to find contact information. Service must be cancelled within 48 hours, that I did as the service was dead on arrival for me and I could not revive, I found our that one loses the privilege of the automated cancellation if you resign with the same email ID. No ifs and buts or no override - no matter what your reasons for cancellation were. Pretty pathetic customer experience for a would be customer!

I bought VIP plan but being a paid member experience is horrible. So many ads, you can't even see a movie property. You should take user experience seriously man. I'm completely dissatisfied with hotstar. Pathetic way of upselling a product.

autorenewal without notice or reminder
I have took hotstar subscription an year ago for watching cricket, because it was on offer. I never used again, later after 1 year they renewed the account and deduted £71 without any notice or reminder about autorenewal. Finally when I saw money deducted from my debit card after 48 hrs, i have emailed customer care about the refund, but they says they cannot refund now as it has to be notified only within 48 hrs. Hotstar is such a bad company eating the hard earned money of the customer, if customer does not want the anuual subscription they should stop the services and refund the money atleast at the beginning of renewal period.

1. They advertised their subscription £59.99. But they took £70+ from account. Only after payment they were telling about VAT price in Bill since almost all UK websites will show the VAT price before payment.
2. Here No Cricket world cup.
3. Not all STAR channel programs are listed. very limited programs.
Avoid wasting your hard earned money.

Hotstar is commendable for the daily soaps and the movies. Also Hotstar premium is worth a shot for all GOT buffs!!! Come on it's just 365/year that's just like Rs 1per day, definitely worth it. Yeah, the variety of content is limited compared to its competitors but it's okay!

Hotstar offered £20 per year subscription before Xmas and same amount was mentioned on their Facebook page and website.
However they took £79 from the bank card. Only on contacting them they agreed to refund the difference.
However the refund was not issued even after a month and when contacted again they said there was a “technical issue” and finally refunded the difference.
Very cheeky way of getting the customer to pay more!
