Though they claim they are a 5-star…
Though they claim they are a 5-star property I feel otherwise. I (along with other guests) in the hotel had no hot water one evening. For two of the three evenings we were there, the air conditioning was not functioning properly or at all.....in 32 C heat !! Inexcusable. Additionally, though they have a nice pool area, it is not overseen by anyone from the hotel, and we witnessed a large group of young guests getting drunk and loud on the cement deck. They had towels and food on the deck blocking safe and proper access around the perimeter of the pool area. Very dangerous. I did advise the front desk of this. With further regard to the pool, it had clear signs of green algae in it and although the water was probably safe to swim in it is a bit nasty looking. Simply stated, the pool should be better maintained. Finally, they have a nice bar situated right on the pool deck. Why is it empty and not staffed? I suggest they fill it with product and beverages and staff it accordingly to better serve their guests. Sending staff out periodically to the pool deck merely suggests cost cutting. You would think a 5-star property would not have these issues.
